This is probably / likely is the highest 2001 on TH-cam. nice catch. Edit: I compared this one to your high pitched SRNB video from a while back, and this siren is higher pitched.
For a while now my recording of the 2001-SRNB in Smiths Station, AL had been the highest. This one is actually slightly higher than the one in mine. The big downside to this is that the things screams at such a high pitch that they lose quite a bit of their range capabilities. I was about 600 ft from the one I recorded, and honestly was quieter than pretty much any other mile range siren from that distance.
It sounds much further away at JF Kennedy Park in Kettering compared to the next closest Centerville 2001 which runs at the normal peak pitch for a 130, even though both are roughly the same distance away (probably about 0.8- 1 mile). Sure does lose range at a distance from being so high pitched.
Thanks Jared! Yeah it was pretty loud when I took my hearing protection off! I don't know what the voltage is on this one but my guess is it is getting more than the required 48VDC to run which makes the motor run faster.
@@sirenfreak57 Haha. Just listening to this gave me a bit of a headache for how high pitched it was. That's why I stated 'bout you ears hurting. Cause chances are if your ear are ringing.. you have a headache. Lol. Stay safe my friend.
2 firsts today for the community! Highest pitched 2001-130 on youtube, plus a recording of a SM-125! Nice video!
By god...this has to be the highest pitched 2001 on TH-cam! Great video BTW!
Midwest Siren Productions Thanks Connor!
Might wanna check mine out
Plot twist: it's actually a 16/16 Sterling with custom housing
In all seriousness, great video.
Thanks Duncan! Lol!

It does indeed sound like 16-port Sterling.

whats the port ratio of a 2001?
12 port single tone
@@peterrobertson6409 ok
I bet your ears hurt after listening to that. Although I'd like to know the voltage that's going into this siren. Nice video as always Kurt.

Great recording
2:50 it's my favorite
It sounds like a mini FS siren, like a Model A, but it has been taking every single steroid in existence.
