My favorite modular is the police station it was so fun to build its so pretty and so many cool mini Easter eggs I just love how the building comes with a story
Assembly square is the ultimate modular in terms of versatile interior. My favorite remains to be Parisian Restaurant. I also tend to upgrade modulars if they lack something for me. 😊
Assembly Square is indeed the best modular which explains that Lego still continue this model till now since 2017. It seems like it's going EOL very soon.
I agree with your top 2, I wish I had town hall. Lego should have elevators in other modulars. Hopefully the next modular is one building on the baseplate
Great minds Alex….If I could only pick one myself, it would be assembly square also. Love everything about that set. The size, scale and buildings. Only thing not so good is how expensive it now is vs when I bought it.
My favorite modular is still the first modular I ever built the detective office, and because of that, I always have to have it front and center in my city when planning for the new modular. Once the jazz club is done, I will have 10 of the 18 modulars in my city. 11 if you include the daily bugle and 12 once I get the sanctum sanatorium in april.
I would have to rank the pet store higher, having the two buildings added such a great amount of extra flexibility to the range and the apartment building allowed us the opportunity to create a row of terrace homes if we wanted. If I was in charge of lego I would do a mid year release of a half set where fans could army build an urban residential street, or if you wanted to get flash you could release one like the book shop one in several colours so you could have a row of painted ladies type buildings. To keep cost down these residential buildings could be empty with no mini figs and additional furniture packs could be sold so the builders could make the interiors unique.
I agree with most of this, other than the boutique hotel placing. Should be about seven spots higher. Gorgeous set with great design and well thought out minifigs.
since there are already so many modulars i will only list my top 3 #1: Parisian restaurant, it looks fabulous! and i like the small details and the use of olive green! its a must have for any lego city imo. only down side is that outside eating area on the side, it wont blend in well with other modulars tbh. #2: Assembly square, its the first modular i have ever collected, which is also what got me to try and collect them all because they are all nice, i mainly want green grocer and Parisian restaurant. And yeah the only downside to assembly square is not enough figures, and for the bakery i kinda wish there was a bakery van or some kind of vehicle. #3: Green Grocer, its big and uses lots of the baseplate which i like as it allows for more custom interior, i love the inclusion of an old-school heater and a grandfather clock on the 3rd floor, and the bbq area is nice little zone thats perfect for summer. only downside is that people are stupidly crazy and sell it for all the money these days.
To me the Parissian restaurant and the Boutique Hotel would be higher. Especially Boutique. They are both very beautiful. I always get the most compliments on the Boutique hotel.
I agree with your rankings. If I could pick 2 though, it would be the townhall because it is so big and I like the elevator and the firehouse because I like the vehicle and ping-pong table.
I used to have the Parissian restaurant, Detectives office, and the Brick bank which are and always will be my favorites but I was stupid enough to break them for parts several years ago and now looking at them on the aftermarket is just depressing.
Of course I disagree. My listing if I did one would be completeley different. But you can't argue about taste. You gave a nice insight into what you consider important. Looking forward to Nr 20 in a few years ;)
For me the only one in the ranking I really disagree with is the police station, it goes way higher in my list. The easter eggs, the little stories, the building detail weigh heavier with me than having one or two extra minifigures or a car.
Hey Alex, how’s it going. I was so excited to see this video pop up and that you were updating your list. Even more excited to see the criteria you used, trying to keep emotional attachment out of it. Can’t say I scan disagree too much with your list. Totally agree with assembly square at #1. Objectively, it is the best and most detailed set of the lot. As for what’s next, I really think we need some kind of hospital or medical building. It’s sorely missing. As for the 20th anniversary, maybe we’ll get a full double base plate model. Now that would be fun….and expensive. Cheers.
hey, it's going great! Thanks for the comment and feedback. I agree about the need for a medical building. It would make sense for sure. Maybe a double plate hospital for the 20th anniversary? That would be epic!
@@alexnunes Hey Alex, what a great idea. Epic indeed, but highly unlikely…..unfortunately. What about a school94 university of some kind? That would require more space.
doesn't agree Cafe Corner is the worst modular at all.. it's because this is the first model in whole series, Lego didn't have a real direction what they should've done for future set at that moment. The worst one must be the Police station + fire brigade...... both of them are unnecessary modular especially Lego has been releasing millions and millions of police station/fire brigade.... they are still releasing new police station nearly every 1 or 2 years.. what's the point for another police station (and fire brigade)?
My favorite modular is the police station it was so fun to build its so pretty and so many cool mini Easter eggs I just love how the building comes with a story

The Parisian Restaurant is a solid modular for sure. And that's neat to learn you modify them.
Assembly Square is indeed the best modular which explains that Lego still continue this model till now since 2017. It seems like it's going EOL very soon.

I’m always surprised when people rank the boutique hotel lower. It’s between that and assembly square for the number 1 spot for me.
boutique hotel is #1 for me. outside just looks too cool

Dang, your collection is getting big with that many modulars.
@@alexnunes Thanks. Plus I might get lucky and find a retired one at my closest bricks and mini figs so that will help to.
I agree with the No. 1 modular. Assembly Square is my favorite modular of all.
I would have to rank the pet store higher, having the two buildings added such a great amount of extra flexibility to the range and the apartment building allowed us the opportunity to create a row of terrace homes if we wanted. Assembly square no 1. Parisian restaurant no 2.

My favorites the Brick Bank!!!!
Same, i agree with his listing mostly but i just love the brick bank
since there are already so many modulars i will only list my top 3

My Favourite Modular building is probably either Assembly Square or The Downtown Diner ❤
I agree with your rankings. If I could pick 2 though, it would be the townhall because it is so big and I like the elevator and the firehouse because I like the vehicle and ping-pong table.
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing
i love the downtown diner
My favourite modular s are as well assembly square , town hall and the downtown dinner
Nice!
I used to have the Parissian restaurant, Detectives office, and the Brick bank which are and always will be my favorites but I was stupid enough to break them for parts several years ago and now looking at them on the aftermarket is just depressing.
Oh no! So sorry!
Green Grocer ranked 14/18. I be like: 😤. Fire Brigade was the first modular to include a vehicle not the palace cinema
Sure enough, I stand corrected.

I think the police station and boutique hotel sould be Higher. But i like the list.

Sweet, bro teach me how to build!
Ever since I started watching you it inspired me to make my own channel

I hope we get a mall next or a hospital
Big Fun !
Market street, pet shop and bookshop split into two sections

The police and fire stations on the city line are aimed for kids. The modulars are aimed for collectors and enthusiasts
