If you had Richard Gene the fishing machine ," he'd show you how to catch them crappie .. but, just picking a little, I did enjoy the fishing trip. 👍😎🎣🐟
😀If Richard had a been with me we would have for sure caught more crappie and we would have had a lot of fun doing it. Richard is a great crappie fisherman. I appreciate your comment and you can pick all you want I love it 😀 Thanks for watching 🎣🎣
Been catcing some 13" ones last couple weeks, using a ripping rap,fun way to catch them, just need to be in a spot were there are snags! So yes i've lost some lures! Great eating!
I know you don't like artificial lures but a few years ago I would walk down in front of my house while walking I would be looking for deer on ce I got the pond I would fish. I called it my quota hunt.Grenn and Chartreuse Road Runners, I'm only 47.I enjoy your videos.
Thanks Stanley I’m probably gonna fish with some artificial lures for crappie a little bit. I have caught them on them road runner’s 🎣 Thanks for your comment and I appreciate you watching 🎣🎣
Rocky….not sure if you can hook shad like I do with minnows….with a minnow I run the hook through the mouth and out the gill then hook the minnow on top of the back as you don’t want to gut hook them as they will die……you on’t have so many fish stealing your bait by doing so. 👍 enjoyed the video. Have a great week and weekend. 👍🇺🇸🙏
Thanks Don I appreciate you leaving a comment I think it may have been that my minnows were a little to big 😀 It’s still a lot of fun just getting bites 🎣🎣
NIIICE! Do you use a regular fillet knife or electric knife to clean your fish? Would love to see a tutorial on how you clean your fish. Great video as always!
great video sir crappie fishing isn't as easy as some folks make it out to be you all ways have to weed trough catfish red best sun fish blue gill bass before you catch one crappie i think its more challenging to catch them in the fall and winter months but during the spring spawn you can sly them close to the bank or weeds or under dock i didn't catch my first crappie intell i was like in my late 30s i use to only focus on inshore fishing growing up in fld with bass and brim but when i moved to the north east in wv i became a better trout and small mouth bass and crappie fisherman
I don't use a leader and I seldom lose a fish, unless it break's the line or spits the hook. I love to catch and cook - catfish - carp - bass of any kind - sunfish - pike - walleye - and any kind of trout.
Thanks Robert I appreciate your comment 🎣 If there’s any barge’s around I would start there. Then I would look around causeway bridges. Back end of coves next to the river channel. Small creeks that run into the river. Inside and around marina’s. Early in the morning is the best time to catch bait 🎣🎣 I appreciate you watching my videos 🎣🎣
Thanks for your comment and I appreciate you watching. I’m not a good crappie fisherman, usually if I catch one it’s my accident I’m still in the learning process of crappie fishing 😀 I didn’t know that crappie are not line sky. Thanks for the info 🎣🎣

Thanks for your comment

Try putting the hook through the body just below the dorsal fin. might get a few more of the short strikes!
I’m gonna that for sure🎣

Thanks Robert

Rocky if you will use a slip cork rig the crappie will hook himself and you will only “miss” about 1 out of 50 or 75
Thanks Donnie
I appreciate your comment
I’ve got a lot to learn about crappie fishing 😀🎣🎣
Thank you for watching

Getting good live bait like you use is hard to get here in nebraska, netting a saning is not allowed in or around lakes!cast netting!
Thanks for your comment 🎣🎣
If you hook your minnow across the back, you will catch a lot more.
I gonna try that 🎣
