The first hook I had seen with that bend in the shank was called "TRUE TURN". The military used them in survival kits. Thanks Rocky and God bless you brother.
It's a blessing to have parents to enjoy your life with! I enjoy catching fish for the old man and mamma... Just watching them feast on the fruit of my labor is amazing!
Thanks for sharing this and for taking us with you. God bless y'all for keeping dad happy. I know he'll appreciate those when they get on his plate. God bless you Rocky and y'all stay safe out there on the water.
That was some nice ones. Always enjoy watching you fish Rocky. I wish I could slow down and enjoy it like you do. I always want to second guess myself changing baits trying this and that making it to complicated when it’s simple fishing. Plain bait and hook not all this fancy stuff. Keep them videos coming my friend!
Rocky always enjoy your videos Going to give you a nightcrawer tip I kept a boat on Lake Erie for 15 years using nightcrawers for walleye Buy a cheap colander put your worms in it use a water hose or lake water wash the worms off put them in a small steafome bait container add water and ice about half and half add ice as needed will live for days. Would be better comment if I new how to spell FreeTime . will be on guntersville last week of March wit my son and grandson might run into you. If I can catch some mud eels ill bring you some.
Man I myself am an avid perch jerker, self proclaimed gill master. I have never heard of that thump net and seeing it in action makes me want 2. That thing is awesome cause I am always fighting to get them quick little jokers out of the live well at the end of a gill beat down. Thump net will be a game changer. Great video thanks for sharing.
Trick I learned eating bluegills, fry em up then pull out the dorsal fins and take a fork and rake off the backtstrap and rib meat, if done right there's no bones or very little left
I call the hook a slow death hook,it really seems to hook up better with that bend, also trolling it spins ,great for walleye, but i use them on my crippie rigs
The hooks look like the old Tru-Turn hooks. The theory was that the hook would turn into the bite and you would get a greater hook-up ratio. At least, that was the theory.
I sure appreciate your TH-cam vidios I love catching big smallmouth bass I seen you sometime last fall and have tried to watch every one since thank you Rocky appreciate you once again
That fishing hook was designed for the military and it's called a rotating hook. And it's designed to catch a fish when it bite bait and run away. Fish will set the hook itself.

I wasn’t real sure on them hooks
They work pretty good 🎣🎣
The original hook design was manufactured by Tru-Turn. It's designed to twist the barb into the fish's mouth as it slide through its lips.
Thanks for comment
I wasn’t sure about them hooks
I’ve had them a long time
