The first hook I had seen with that bend in the shank was called "TRUE TURN". The military used them in survival kits. Thanks Rocky and God bless you brother.

Rocky always enjoy your videos Going to give you a nightcrawer tip I kept a boat on Lake Erie for 15 years using nightcrawers for walleye Buy a cheap colander put your worms in it use a water hose or lake water wash the worms off put them in a small steafome bait container add water and ice about half and half add ice as needed will live for days. Would be better comment if I new how to spell FreeTime . will be on guntersville last week of March wit my son and grandson might run into you. If I can catch some mud eels ill bring you some.

Man I myself am an avid perch jerker, self proclaimed gill master. I have never heard of that thump net and seeing it in action makes me want 2. That thing is awesome cause I am always fighting to get them quick little jokers out of the live well at the end of a gill beat down. Thump net will be a game changer. Trick I learned eating bluegills, fry em up then pull out the dorsal fins and take a fork and rake off the backtstrap and rib meat, if done right there's no bones or very little left

Rocky in the north that hook you are using is called a true turn hook .That turn in the hook causes it to turn into the top of his mouth.

The hooks look like the old Tru-Turn hooks. The theory was that the hook would turn into the bite and you would get a greater hook-up ratio. At least, that was the theory.

That fishing hook was designed for the military and it's called a rotating hook. And it's designed to catch a fish when it bite bait and run away. Fish will set the hook itself.
