    What you said about Malaysian working environment are all true. We not only eat snacks, we also buy and distribute to fellow colleagues once in a while. In my company, We also buy small breakfast like nasi lemak bungkus and Yao Char Kuai for our colleagues.

    Thank you.

      Ini jawapan saya: Hujan emas di-negeri orang, hujan batu di-negeri sendiri ........Saya dah lama menetap kat UK, tapi I prefer singapura, the asian lifestyle is better for me. Count yourself lucky living in malaysia. Malaysia is a beautiful country and has developed by leaps & bounds!

      @@BanglasiaCintaSamaKamu I heard rumah2/apartment kat sana kecil2 and most of them sewa je cause they cant affort to buy. Sebab tu lah mereka terperanjat kat MAS apartment (bergelar condominium) lengkap dengan swimming pool, gym dan landscape garden dan stunning views from the highrise apartment. Kalau berbanding dengan sesetengah negeri lain, sekarang kat MAS dah hujan emas tak lagi hujan batu!!

    My biggest surprise while working in Japan is when the ladies carry heavy things, no guys will offer help. In fact I have seen the guy walking next to the lady carrying a heavy box, not even holding the door open for her. I understand she is the office assistant, but still it's a culture shock for me...

    • @cleeyy.office8851
      @cleeyy.office8851 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is shocking to me too. I am from Malaysia. I even open the door for strangers especially when they have their hands occupied. Hold the lift door open for others. Held up the door blinds for others when they are trying to get through it even when knowing that that person is a delivery guy who happens to be sending food to my office. He is a guy and I am a lady. So no difference in terms of gender too when it comes to daily simple things like this. I 'd be sad if I happen to work in Japan and encounter such unfairness. :'(

    Most of the working culture observations are true except watching Korean drama that maybe you are very lucky having a great immediate boss 😄

    • @metallicshah
      @metallicshah 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      True. Some will give u a death stare if you were caught surfing social media, even when we all aware most of us check them from time to time on working hours. But watching whole drama is a worse offend, better not to think that's acceptable even in Malaysia 😁. Maybe your boss did not care when you already finished your work, but sometimes it's better to not do it in working hours. Surfing once in a while when you're free is fine (and even this you need to aware of your current office culture also).

    I remembered when me and my boss lunch together, suddenly out of nowhere we argue which is the best anime of the year. And we continue to introduce the current top anime we watch in office later.. although I'm already 36 and he's 42's age 😆. I set aircond between 16°C and 24°C and hope snow will fall from the air cond. My workmates hate it 😂

    only to non-japanese company in Malaysia, we can work as human not like robot.I still remember back in 2003 in Japanese factory as an engineering team. Engineering team is not allowed to sit or lean against the wall in the production cleanroom. The salary basic was very low and overtime is compulsory. Then I worked in a US factory in PJ with a better salary and feel less stressed and not exhausted. And now the Japanese factory was closed down.

    Yeah in Malaysia the thing that matters the most to the boss is getting the job done on time and clean but it's really up to you how you wanna make it😁
    Cause at the end of the day, the employees are humans too they are not machines or robots so yeah working should not disturb the fact that they have the right to enjoy their moments while working too cause when employees work with less stress and be able to enjoy doing their work it will return bigger profits to the company itself 😉
    And about the chatting that you said it's forbidden while working in Japan, seriously how you guys managed to survive the boredom without being able to talk with your colleagues? 😅

    The Japanese workplaces have a notorious reputation for being extremely stressful and bureaucratic. Employees feel obligated to (or pretend to) work overtime so as not to be seen as leaving the office earlier. There’s a sombre atmosphere too, where people work like robots. Chatting and having small talks are often frowned upon.

    The government office have slightly different work culture, it's more conservative and strict, totally depends on the boss/high rank officer, if they're easy going then you're lucky, if not then it's not far difference with Japan. There are our version of "senpai" here in the government office.

    Haha,its nice to know some good things can be seen as bad..mainly im gonna talk bout the 7,8,9,10..but its just my 2cent here..seeing your videos here,now i know why modern youngster of japanese wishes to work in malaysia..the things you pointed out play largely in our mood/mental health into working..
    7 - since you know its a multicultural country,so muslim/non learned to co-op live in the modern world..
    And yes,the utensils need to divide for Non and Halal due to residue left by alchohol/pork is effecting a muslim body..
    8 - yeah,thats why most office workers in malaysia can be a bit too 'healthier" (chubby,fat) compare to non-office worker due to sugar consume .. haha
    9 - happier worker produce healthier mood,enviroment,vibe..so thats why most company allow some light snack during working hour..
    CEO,Super big boss,big boss (mostly non-malaysia) will mind bout this.. if they are malaysian ,they mostly ignore if ever seeing you do this..but as manner apply to respecting the boss,probably shouldnt eat if they are around..
    10 - Practically, in these office where we malaysian are feeling the 'winter season' ..by wearing office jacket/multi layer clothes ,thats like 'the feeling of winter'..being in air-conditioned super cold are the closest things to winter..since malaysia is on the Equator ,we dont have the luxury of feeling the 4 season such as JAPAN..

    I dont think staff can surf and watch korean drama online at work in Malaysia, unless it is organisation that has very lax culture. I have worked in KL before. Bosses here and HR would not see it favourably. In banks and a lot of organisations, it might lead to disciplinary action as the laptop is for company use, not personal business.

    Malaysian offices are haunted. Don't go ever go back late. After 7:00pm their shift begins. Ask your colleagues about their office ghost stories.

    Please don't reveal that jpn cab costs rm80 for 3 km....to Malaysia grab drivers
    Msia drivers will then ask for rm20 for3 km...
    Msia grab shd not and cannot ask for rm20 for 3 km... because their cars sometimes have croachacs
