    Finally someone that uses arrowroot powder!!! You’re so beautiful just like this recipe! Thank you so much for this!

      Yessss I'm so grateful for arrowroot as it's such a great replacement for cornstarch. No shade against cornstarch when it's grown WITHOUT all the chemicals, but in the United States, corn, soy, cotton and other crops are heavily chemicalized (I made that word up lol) and subsidized......and the impact on human and environmental health is hazardous. And thank you for the compliment! Enjoy the recipe :)

      You are so welcome and nope, you don’t have to give any of your fave foods up! You just gotta get creative and elevate those ingredients with plant based substitutes. Enjoy 😊

      It’s such a great recipe! You should be able to find the coconut condensed milk in Whole Foods or a health food store or online. I love it for so many things. Enjoy the banana pudding 🥳

    I’m so thankful for you! Can I ask, how do you keep the bananas on top from going brown if you leave them in the refrigerator overnight?

      Good question! An ever so light squirt of lemon juice will help that.

      Hey no need for sad face lol! The link in the description is a link to my mailing list. I send emails every week where I share the latest recipe from the latest video. To get older recipes I have compiled them into 2 ebooks. One is with all the MEALS (breakfast, lunch/dinner, sauces, spreads, etc.) and the other is all the SWEETS (where I share my recipes for desserts). If you're interested, feel free to sign up at that link where you can get access.

      Hey💫 My first year of this channel I gave all recipes away for free in my newsletter. As I grew, I put everything into a downloadable book for sale to help sustain the channel. So yes, it’s no longer available for free.

    Just to clarify is the sweetened condensed coconut milk required for this recipe?

    • @TheMindfulPlate
      @TheMindfulPlate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, as that’s how this recipe is sweetened. It also contributes to the creamy texture.

    Can you use flour? If you don’t have arrowroot?

    • @TheMindfulPlate
      @TheMindfulPlate  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No it’s not the same, it will have a textural effect that won’t be pleasant. If you don’t have arrowroot then you can sub for cornstarch.

    Where do you get your vanilla powder...?...It's always really expensive...TY....

    • @TheMindfulPlate
      @TheMindfulPlate  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's true, vanilla powder is typically expensive...then again so is vanilla bean paste and real vanilla extract *le sigh....but to answer your question, I've found some great deals in the specialty food section of stores like Home Goods, Marshalls, Ross and TJ Maxx. Sometimes you can really get high quality products sold at a reduced price. Other than that, I just count my coins and go to Amazon :)

    I'll try the custard idea but my ancestors won't allow me to put anything but a wafer cookie on banana pudding! lol I'm not trying to get shamed at the cookout.

    • @TheMindfulPlate
      @TheMindfulPlate  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hahahahahha! I feel you. Don't disrespect the ancestors. But I'm telling you, as someone who grew up on vanilla wafers, the vanilla sandwich cremes definitely brought something delicious to the table!
