I’m so excited for the release of Wind and Truth. I agree that Chanarach is gonna be revealed as Shallan’s mom. There’s just been too much foreshadowing. I fear Adolin might become Odium’s champion.

There’s definitely some tension between Father and Son already brewing. An Adolin v. Dalinar duel would be very intense!

Seeing Dalinar interact with Navani is gonna be... interesting. We've seen that even when he agrees that someone else is in charge, like Navani on the Fourth Bridge, he can't stop himself from taking over. And we know he considers himself the unquestioned king of any surgebinder. Navani has been letting him for the most part, but this has to be her breaking point. She is bonded to the spren of all Urithiru. This is now her Tower, not his. And she is his wife, not his subject. There is definitely going to be a scene of confrontation where she stands up and forces him to actually realize it.
And of course I doubt he'll turn around and just be fixed, but from then on he'll start taking over, see what he's doing, and catch himself.
Also remember that losing the Contest isn't great for Dalinar himself, but it works out for the forces of humanity. Vargodium's plan is to find some way to break the terms entire, not just to win. Also, I'm curious, why would you think that Vargodium wants Cultivaiton dead? This is such a weird thing to me. For four books, Taravangian was portrayed as a desperate man facing an existential threat to his entire race willing to do whatever it took to guarantee he couldn't completely lose, and that's understandable. Why are so many fans willing to accept, without question, that he's just pure evil now? That he just wants to kill everyone and conquer everything just for the lolz? That was never a part of anything to do with his character. I'll confess I just don't understand.
Hoid: From WoB, Hoid was hornswoggled. Brandon has said that he'll figure something out early in Rhythm of War, but the epilogue of Rhythm of War was simply a win for Vargodium.
Renarin: I don't love the whole "Renarin blocks godsight" thing. It seems ridiculous that his Fortune could be so powerful that it obscures the sight of the God who gave it to him in the first place, for like a mile around him, all the time, whether he's using the power or not.

Dang I need it to be Friday. Here are my completely out there called shots that are totally not gonna be it:
I think Adolin revives Maya then later is put into mortal danger and hence kaladin swears his fifth ideal, something to the effect of "I will protect those deserving even at the cost of my own life". Kal dies and in the resolution of the book Adolin says something to the effect of never forgetting the sacrifice. Maybe "I will remember those I've lost that made me the man I am" or something like that. This counts as an edgedancer oath and finally binds him to Maya.
I actually think these are all pipe dreams and I think adolin's going to die. But man if he survives and gets off world think of all the fashion he could see.
In addition my other pet theory is that whether Kaladin dies or ascends to take up The Shard of Honor, Orodin grows up over the time jump becoming a perspective character and bonds Syl. You could still get memories of Kal through Syl teaching him lessons. Lirin then has enough trauma to bond his own damn spren knowing that he raised another fighter. Maybe bonus if he just jumps off the Tower of his own volition this time

I don’t see why everyone thinks reforging the oath pact is the option. First it was a complete non solution from the start. Second the ever storm was created exactly as an end round what was left of the failed oath pack. It’s like duck tape on a sinking ship.
