Found this randomly when looking for videos on the small world of tracklocross! Thanks for making this video. I recognised a few things (group ride anxiety, agreeing to social things then dropping out), and learned a few things about myself (brake levers making me anxious, I cant stand gears or suspension for the same reason). It's a really helpful and kind video. Maybe see you on the trail sometime. I'll be the one on the fixie covered in mud, sliding down some muddy slope only just in control, grinning away to myself, and I guess/hope you will be the same :-)
Thanks for making this, I'm stoked that this came up in my feed. Not a fan of social events myself but I love my bikes. I've built a 2.5 km cross track on my land so i don't have to leave home to ride anymore. I've not got Autism but have Bi polar and adhd, if it wasn't for my kids needing to get to school i would never leave here its them and the bikes that keep me sane. Plus watching top notch vids like your stuff on you tube. Keep up the good work.
Good on you for making this! I get extremely anxious in group rides a lot of the time and solo rides are my zen. Your stories with social situations and trying to overcome them ring incredibly familiar with me. Best advice I've ever gotten is that you can't be happy in life until you're happy with yourself, so do whatever you can to keep yourself pumped and ignore the criticisms of what should be 'normal' behavior. Ride on!
I like a bit of philosophy and bikes me. Great combo. I don’t share your love for brakeless though. I’m a little more risk averse and I like some hoods to hold onto but it would be a dull old world if we all rode the same bike
@@fiefdomtracklocross i told mr about the summer temps you told me about for there. he was as shocked as i. i am grateful for sunny warm summers. winters here, i use a s.a.d. light. i needs me outdoors sunshine, i'll take it cold if i must.
@@fiefdomtracklocross is it something many is scotland deal with? i would be so hard with that much grey. i'm lucky it's not debilitating, and i'm lucky the light really makes a world of difference for me. that and good warm gear to still get outside. three cheers for snowveralls!

Thanks so much. I'd probably also never leave if I built myself a huge cross track.
Keep on pedaling.

Cheers for stopping by, and I'm glad we could see that we are not alone.
Keep on going.
