    I saw this video on Monday and called my dealership about the license plate relocator on Tuesday. I honestly stopped watching videos about the Forester since my sport was due to arrive until mid-August or September. The dealership answered my question then told me they had been trying to call me, but had the wrong number apparently cause the Forester Sport I ordered was due to arrive in June 30th and then did. Due to work I’m picking it up on the 5th. If it wasn’t for this video I wouldn’t have known my suv was arriving sooner. Thank you.

    The front end upgrade of the ‘22 looks way better imo. I wonder what aesthetic changes Subaru is planning for the MY24.

    Great concise review, I am in the process of purchasing my 2022 Ice Silver Sport this week with all the upgrades. I came away with the same conclusions as you after test driving all of the other competitors models, Nissan Rogue, RAV 4, Kia Sportage, 2023 Honda CRV, for price, functionality, capabilities, tech, safety, the Forester came out on top for me. Thanks for sharing. Aloha!

    Ordered mine last month in the gray. We never got to test drive the sport model so I appreciate the vid. So excited for it to arrive! Cheers 🤙

      When I ordered mine they had one nearly exactly like I wanted minus a few bolt on accessories. They let me test drive it. If I would’ve had the down payment then I would’ve walked out the door with that forester.

    I recently bout a forester sport and I totally agree with your points. When I test drove the cross trek I liked it, but as soon as I sat behind the wheel I knew I wanted the forester!

    Yes the sound system is awesome. You’re right about the adaptive cruise control. Our Outback is our road car and we can literally set the cruise on our way to Billings MT from Wenatchee Washington and never have to apply the brakes or gas until we need to stop for gas or a rest stop.
    The lane assist SUCKS. Our Outback is like a ping pong ball while going around corners and at times our Subie will go into the shoulder even when the white paint is clear.
    Also while driving when it’s snowing, the eyesight stops working, but the car will show you on the dash.

    Went and test drove a 2019 yesterday and I loved a lot of what you stated: Visibility, design, ease of drive. The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the audio. Maybe they improved the sound system between the 19’ and 22’. Looking into getting a 22’ but the supply is very limited.

    I use adaptive cruise control in my '21 Outback Onyx XT any chance I get on any road. You can actually watch your gas mileage go up when you use it! (And same here...the auto steering is a bit much for me and my stomach. Especially in big, wide freeway lanes...too much movement!!)

    Saw this video and loved it. Currently have a 2018 Crosstrek limited, looking to trade it in for a Forester Sport or another Crosstrek. Were you guys happy with the choice to move to the forester? You said she drives it every day on the highway does it really get around 30mpg? I’m having a real hard time deciding what I want to do.

      Thank you for the positive comment! It was tough decision as well for her to move from the Crosstrek to the Forester but wanted a little more room / ground clearance. On the highway it is super quiet and she can also get 32mpg on it to answer your question!

    If I can be convinced of Subaru’s quality control and reliability, I’d purchase a Forester Sport.

      Ordered online 'emblem overlays' decals. There are a ton of colors / designs to pick from for any Subaru out there

    Can you compare the sport # function with normal torque map? Is the difference in acceleration really noticeable

    • @TheBlakeob
      @TheBlakeob  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sport # function makes a considerable difference, I feel, compared to driving in the normal intelligent mode. Throttle response is quicker right away and the overall pick up is more noticeable than I originally thought

      I noticed the car pickups better in sports # mode too.

    how did you place the front license plate on the side?

    • @TheBlakeob
      @TheBlakeob  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is the Perrin License Plate Relocation Kit that they sell, goes right in the front tow hook spot. Very cool product!

    Hi, I have a question for you, why did you decide to pick Forester Sport over the Forester Wilderness? Thanks for the video. 👍👍🙂

    • @TheBlakeob
      @TheBlakeob  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My gf picked this sport as she doesn't do any off roading and mostly commuting on highway. She wanted better gas millage and the navy blue pearl / red accents colors which are unique to the sport. That being said we are both massive fans of the wilderness. Could replace my STI down the road with one who knows! Thanks for the positive comment

      @@TheBlakeob Your welcome, just wanted to see if there are any big difference between sport trim and wilderness trim Forester.

      And why not go with Tuscon Limited or Tuscon N-Line? Both exterior designs looks awesome. Why not pick a Tuscon? 👍🙂

    Personally I can’t stand the gloomy grey interior, so I had to opt for the Touring model so I could get the brown leather.
    Crimson red with the brown interior pops.

    Is everything LED yet? Turn signals, back up lights?

    • @TheBlakeob
      @TheBlakeob  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interior, headlights, and fog lights are the only OEM LED lights as of now, aftermarket LEDS in these new models can trigger a code

    I'm on the fence because not enough hp/pick up (0-60)

      It's honestly not that bad. Ain't gonna be winning races, but it's got enough merging power. Only issue is if you're passing someone and they decide they don't want to let you.
