    Here in Chile SouthAmerica we have these new Navara about 2 months ago, is now the second top seller in sales in our market, and I think these year is going to be the top 1 pickup here in Chile. I have bought and XE 4X4 automatic and is a very good truck, the best for me is the ride comfort, very soft is like driving a SUV. In Chile we dont get that engine, he have for all 4X4 versions the Twin Turbo Renault Diesel,that I think is more modern, and better fuel economy.

    Awesome review. One can see you haven’t been ‘paid’ by Nissan. I would love to get more power. As a farmer, I use the loadbin to its maximum. That in turn comes with higher fuel consumption. I wish Nissan could really listen to its customers. I’ve been driving nissans from the D40 to date. In South Africa, 140 kilowatts 450Nm and 2.3

    Wow! The new steering wheel design cancels the accidental firing of the Horn when maneuvering on parking. Too bad they stiil didnt put a grab handle on B pillar. They should improve the interior and upgrade the engine. Good that they improved the rear suspension finally. With the new steering rack, the turning radius had improved as well. Nice review overall!

  • @Tatay-Mong-Kalbo
    @Tatay-Mong-Kalbo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I agree with Vince. I also own a Navara, and the price difference does not justify the upgrade from the old one. If this is your first time to buy the Navara, then, by all means go for it as it is a reliable workhorse. I've been driving mine for almost 3 years now and I am more than satisfied with the performance of the Navara over all. The upgrades are nice but they are costlier than expected. For the time being, I am happy and contented with my unit.

    • @vcpornelos
      @vcpornelos 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yup. It may be worth it if you're moving up from a 2020 or older 4x2 Navara to a 2021 Pro-4X or VL 4x4.
      I already drive a VL 4x4, and while it doesn't have diff lock or A/T tires, I don't see a need yet.

      Consider it that this 2021 Nissan Navara are affected with new implemented Safeguard Duty Tax by DTI, which already included on their announced SRP. Which bad for not breaking it down, and the consequences is that some buyers are not aware of that, and also it looks to them are costly for the upgrades to those who have already owned outgoing Navara Model

    I drive a Navara as well though, a lower variant (4x2 EL Calibre AT). Its lower price point is reasonable knowing that the "bells and whistles" of the Navara compared to other Pick-Up is somewhat lacking. Also the review about the engine is spot on, it is mediocre in lower gears honestly speaking. I definitely get this new Navara IF they had improved the engine or power delivery.
    But I will still recommend a Navara if you want a pick up that gets the job done without some unnecessary toys that you actually wouldn't use if you drive a pick up, it will just drive the price point higher. If you want a bare pick-up with some quality of life improvement, I highly recommend Navara. Otherwise, look somewhere else.

    I am from West Malaysia and i enjoyed yr video. Sadly, we malaysians, Filipinos and Indonesians are still getting rhe old yd-25 engines and not the twin turbo ys-23 engines as in Thailand, australia etc. That explains the lousier fuel figures. Also max torque in the newer ys-23 comes in around 1600 rpm. I m sure you know all these info and that nissan is still withholding these newer engines with rhe old excuse that our diesel is still euro 4 and not euro 5 compliant. Nissan should look at what Hilux 2.8 engine which is euro 5/6 compliant and available esp in malaysia

Bumpy dn sya compare sa old VL.maybe the tires geolander one of the problems. Steering wheel feels heavy at slow speed. Brakes average. Engine same as old. Un turning nya mas stable. And car feels higher. Not sure if its worth it especially with the added tax. I think the mid variant dmax ticks all the boxes for now

      Takenote that the nissan navara is more focused on comfort than payload, though the interior is not much an improvement it is still a overall great all around pickup.
      Dmax on the other hand focuses on the work and performance i would not say the comfort is bad it is actually good but not as great as the navara.
