I was going to say the exact same thing. When the reward for beating a game on the hardest difficulty is something I can only enjoy by doing another player through, I’m usually pretty disappointed.
The thinking is pretty simple really. You only reward the player an item that destroys the intended gameplay once they have experienced what you decide is everything the game has to offer.
For the Starfield rare universes. You can reroll the universe till you get a rare universe (This also helps you reroll your armour stats too). If you save before entering Unity, when you go through to a new universe - if the universe is normal it will say ' Go to the Lodge (MAST District). If it's a rare universe it will just say ' Go to the Lodge'. So far after ng+1 which yes is always standard, my next two universes so far have been rare starts.
Yeah 15% still sucks for people like me whose arch enemy is RNG. I've entered Unity about 10 times now (after finishing everything for 5 times) and still no alternate universes for me. After a little over 300 hours in I have very little incentive left to ever load a save again. Screw that game and it's RNG.
For the star wars one you can pull two guards that are passing by on a platform above there entrance of the fight against the giant frog. They are very tough and take like half of it's life I think... It is an incredibly tedious fight either way. But! In the practice arena where it is the son and the father at the same time he becomes weaker, slower and easier to defeat which is fun
I tried pulling that trick, failed so many times where the frog and the dudes above would team up against me that I just fought fair. I finally understood that, although I hate the blaster stance, it was by FAR the most effective against that. It could block the red attacks with charged shots (if you have that stun shot equipped). The two frogs later was actually faster to master than the original spawn fight, since I had already gotten used to the blaster stance. Always position yourself in a way that only one is going to attack you, run otherwise (tip if anyone has difficulty in this one). I still feel like the Rancor in the cavern is the hardest fight, regardless.
@@fcontini great tip! I never got acostumed to the blaster stance, it didn't feel jedi enough for me. Now regarding the first rancor encounter, I just cheated. I enabled an option in the menu which slows down time whenever you are in a fight, that's how I beat it after dying like five times
@@jas_094 I wish I had done like you did. It would have saved me hours of time 🤣 it took me two days to finally beat that one. And I agree, not very Jedi indeed lol
A few years ago, I played a game called Go Vacation! made by Namco-Bandai, it's just a silly little shovelware on the Wii/Switch but I had a lot of fun. The game has dozens of references and easter eggs, as you can imagine, from the character creation screen having avatars and outfits that resemble popular characters to entire sections named after locations and enemies. I felt like a super secret spy finding these out when I was a teenager, thinking I was so cool for recognizing obscure details on my game. Later I would realize some other games have the most absurd hidden details and felt a bit silly with my previous finds.
hey man, give yourself credit, some of the really obscure ones require teams to find. I recall back in 2001, i was on GameFAQs when a team was putting together the Minion code screens from when Incognito revealed there would be a secret link between Twisted Metal Black and the rest of the games... its a bit convoluted if ya don't know the story. But the point being its usually a team putting these complexities together
For the Dead Space remake, if I remember rightly, it's not the way as described in this video. In my game, the impossible setting sets you to only have one save file usable for the campaign, so you just can't go back earlier than that save. I've got the achievement on Xbox and can't confirm how it's set for other platforms. Not a criticism of the content, I just don't remember it being this way on getting the achievement.
Correct, you can Save as much as you want on that playthrough. You can Quit out too if you think you’re about to die. Essentially, save often. Dead Space 2 was way harder, since you only could save 3 times in the playthrough.
About the Cyberpunk one... You don't need to do anything other then get on top of the mattress at a specific hour of the day, I think is 5h30am. Do that and you get the truck, although we only know that because a fuck-ton of people made an exhausting amount of work to get all the clues... there's in-game stuff, real websites, videos, threads on Reddit... this thing was intense.
@@fst534 usually is a team effort. A lot of people gathering small details and sharing it so the collective can work it out. The labyrinth alone must have take ages to map out, the place has no markers to center yourself. I'm ashamed I skipped to the end to get the car, but to follow the whole process was to much for me
Funny to see Remnant 2 mentioned with the Archon Class being so well hidden. Gunfire Games went and did something similar again with The Awakened King DLC. There's a new weapon in there whose method of acquisition is quite obtuse, not unlike the Archon Class. Makes me wonder if they'll keep doing something similar with other stuff in the other DLCs that they are planned for the game.
For the starfield one just quick save on the unity right before you walk through. You can reload and go back through any number of times with random results. I've seen most of the alternate states, they don't change the game much
Actually I found fighting Spawn of Oggdo alone was tougher than fighting the duo. The father & son duo are not programmed to be as aggressive so you can defeat them piecemeal. But Spawn of Oggdo alone is just merciless and relentless with little to no down time between attacks.
Oh yes, Remnant 2 the Archon, but it's totally worth it. And impossible to miss thanks to the internet. People with the gear can unlock it for other players too, they just need to join your world and open the door.
For the star wars one, I recommend blaster stance. Point plank shots can counter most of their nonsense and utterly wreck em iirc, was a challenge though.

in TTP2 there is an easter egg in the current version of the game. when going through the city in the beginning, head to the museum. in one of the 'mock' puzzles you can walk around to the side and peek through to see several cardboard cutouts of Serious Sam. but yeah... way less than the original.
