Hey Prairie Sailer! Love the videos man. I though I'd reach out to you to see if you could help me in my application process for the Naval Reserve. Basically i have talked with 3 different recruiters and can't seem to get the proper information or guidance. I'm based In Vancouver, BC and hoping to join the reserve with the intention of pursuing the Port Inspection Diver trade. Would be extremely grateful if you could help me out or point me in the right direction, Thanks Sir!
Going into U of M for engineering in September but i’m currently planning to go to the military this summer (Since i’m walking distance to Minto Armoury). How would I join?
So I got a specific case of me signing a contract for serving as a NWO in return for subsidized education for ROTP, is there a way where I can switch to serving in a reserve when my contract ends, and what are the ranges of working hours that I can negotiate like from lowest hours to highest hours for the whole year?
Yes you can transfer to the Reserve after your contract is complete. The minimum hours with the Reserve is one evening per week, usually 3 hrs. Maximum is 12 days per month. Reserve hours are highly variable depending on your unit and role. You can also do short term full time contracts with the reserve ranging from 13 days - 3 years.
Is there any way to reach you via email or so, I would love to join the Canadian armed forces but I'm a foreigner and I don't have a PR or anything of the sort, honestly I've never been to Canada but I would love to join.
You can send me a DM on instagram and I can give you my work email there. You do need to have PR status to apply, and security clearance will take 6- 18 months for PRs.
Loved hearing about Percy Haynes. Salute to the men and women who paved the way for the rest of us
What does a typical weekend exercise look like for Naval Reservists? A video on that would be great
Got one! Exercise Prairie Sailor
