Still depressed that the old VA passed away. I would've loved to hear his take on this jovial side of Sengoku
i feel like sengoku was always more chill and goofy, but had to get serious when he started moving up the ranks, now that the stress is gone and hes retired, hes probably gone back to old self.
But Garp was still a vice admiral. Sengoku is no longer a Marine, he retired and works now as the inspector.

Garp being one of my favorite characters but I strongly believe he will not be the same Garp that was trolling Sen Goku before the big war. Aces death took a huge toll on Garp and I think he has big plans upcoming within the marines involving Akainu .
Garp and Sengoku basically have similar personalities, except one knows to be serious at work, and one just doesn't give a fuck.

It's not so much that he doesn't give a fuck, just that he knew as the only 1 that could go toe to toe with Roger that in the Navy he was untouchable. They tried to reign him in by giving him responsibilities, but he said fk no to that multiple times and happily carried on as vice admiral doing as he pleased. Unlike other vice admirals enough would answer to their respective admirals however, he answered only to the fleet admirals. Actually he didn't really answer to anyone before the paramount war, but he did cooperate with the fleet admiral at least.
well ones in a higher position then the other. one commands the entire navy and the other is below the lvl of admiral so he has very few responsibilities. being the navy hero and strong as roger puts him in a untouchable spot.

Sengoku is no longer an active flag officer so he can do what he likes (at last). If anyone wants to go ballistic on him he will remind them quite handily what he used to do
Sengoku without responsibilities is jsut so damn enjoyable. I really hope we keep seeing more of him despite him not accepting "big positions" anymore. He seems to be sent around regardless, "just in case".
Besides being goofy, he's alot like Garp. Sure they make many mistakes and cause people around them to be annoyed, but their status and power is just too good to let go. Garp just punched Marco and did more damage than the 3 admirals, and Sengoku is the one to save Marineford from Blackbeard. A lot like wildcards.
he finessed the trip to Dressrosa because Tsuru is his old friend, and that the man who killed his protoge Roxinante is also there. He probably wasn't expecting Jack to attack his fleet, and vice versa.

Sengoku must be having the best time of his life right now. Watching others struggle like he was and realising not everything is so easy as he made it seem with his hard work.
Admiral Fugitora,hands down my favourite Admiral.He's a good man first and navy admiral 2nd.Which isn't the case for all the other admirals..even cool Aokiji was a government puppet in the end.Fugitora got some massive balls too, following his conscience even if Sakazuki will be angry at him

I love how the Marines never take it serious to capture Luffy. Definitely has to do with Luffy being Garps grandson.
Probably helps that he never hurts civilians, that's why his bounty was lower than Kidd's pre-timeskip
Properly helps that everytime the Marines see Luffy he is always helping them out because they can't do anything against the Warlords
the Marines consistently try to capture Luffy and co (which is why they never stay long in one place) but like Roger, they always end up broken ,defeated or in Smoker's case forced to ally with them.
I like the fact that sengoku used to get onto garp for being so carefree and now he's doing the exact same thing.

Tsuru really ought to be fleet admiral. She takes it just as seriously as Sakazuki without having anger issues. She’s known for her wisdom and tactical mastery which is much more important for leading an army then being a strong fighter.
She's too passive and old. Look at her attempts at tagging Doflamingo. Completely half-assed when she could have taken him down in his youth. She conveys an image of passive weakness. Sakazuki conveys an image of brutal strength that strikes fear into pirates.

I've always wondered how strong Tsuru is.
I don't know, but i believe she's as strong as Garp or sengoku, they used to fight together, and you can feel that even doflamingo fear her.
she isn't strong at all psychically, she's the navy's best tactician.
well... in terms of "Power" of course she not so strong as Hancock...
but she is a Strategiest and DF user of "Wash-wash" fruit... she cleanse the "Evil" from her enemies.
her unique fighting style with her DF power and her strategy... its quite deadly.
so yeah.. she is strong.
well before hr was Shichibukai, Doflamingo and his family retreated whenever Tsuru came for him and he speaks ti her with respect calling her Tsuru-san. that should say a lot about her fighting ability.

Sengoku was always one of my favourite characters. Even when he had the seagull hat and the uptight attitude. But now he is one of the best in the show. Just constantly taking the piss.
