No, she is a talented lady but she doesn't touch your soul and have the Charisma and glamour of Shirley. Shirley proved it at the Oscars Barbara Streisand and Adele couldn't cut it with Shirley there. Same would happen to anyone, I have seen her live in the 70s when I was a child I was totally awestruck. She is phenomenal, her voice, her beauty, class, charisma, wonderful personality, no one can come close she is absolutely amazing in every way. The greatest live performer ever.

That long program of songs without a break ... all extremely challenging ... all superbly sung. Voice getting tired right at the end and intonation going a bit .. but STILL she could deliver a superb rendition of Goldfinger. The woman is a miracle with a constitution of a world athlete. Jessy Norman said to Bassey once "I don't know how you do it". Bassey replied .. " How can you say that when you're in three hour operas? " Norman replied .." Yes, but I'm not on stage all the time, but you sing for an hour and a half, non-stop. I couldn't do that."

That long program of songs without a break ... all extremely challenging ... all superbly sung. Voice getting tired right at the end and intonation going a bit .. but STILL she could deliver a superb rendition of Goldfinger. The woman is a miracle with a constitution of a world athlete. Jessy Norman said to Bassey once "I don't know how you do it". Bassey replied .. " How can you say that when you're in three hour operas? " Norman replied .." Yes, but I'm not on stage all the time, but you sing for an hour and a half, non-stop. I couldn't do that."

What the Producer was doing befuddles me. By 15:40 the focus should be on Ms Bassey. In fact most of the camera shots were untidy. All the rubbish fiddling with every type of camera angle etc shoved into the show. IMO. Ex TV
