Food court is the worst place to work. If someone is thinking about to get a job in Costco avoid the Food court it’s a nightmare.

I agree, I was hired as a runner but in my second week they put me in the food court and It was BRUTAL! I quit by my 3rd week.

I work at Costco in Carlsbad California ,
And there is a variety of races here .
I agree on one of the comments thou,foodcourt is tough especially after the restaurant closes cleaning is a hassle 😢
maintenance is another department to avoid 😅

Worked at Costco in Toronto
Pretty much from my experience, food court is hard because its always the busiest.
But I disagree heavily on maintenance, it was a pretty relaxing job from I've witnessed
I worked at produce.
The fact that I can't sit and stand on concrete floor for 7 hours straight was hell on my feet.
Imagine doing that for decades with a very short vacation and pay only enough to survive but not live made me quit.

Thank you for sharing your story. I need to get a job right away and Costco, like you said pays more than other retail jobs or grocery store jobs. I really can’t believe how long their interview process is for a basic job. What do you think is the best position at Costco? it seems like membership sales and cashier would be a lot maybe folding clothes or somewhere in the back working with ATV? Did the people who organize the clothes make the same as the cashiers?

I've worked at two different Costco's here in California, it's brutal on your lower back standing on the cement floors for long periods! I would have to stand for hours folding clothes. I helped unload customers' carts, but having to run and get an item they forgot was ridiculous having to run thru those crowds! When out of nowhere they stuck me in the food court I thought I was saved, WRONG! It was BRUTAL! Then do the go-backs when you have to go searching up and down those long isles! Then getting out of the building at 10:30/11 pm??? I'll pass! 😮‍💨🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

I work costco Just to remember every costco is different. Also in costco job site what job you looking for what you get. Sometimes they do like move you alots is good for you. That is why I like to move every department
Just do you job try to move up your career you want to be at

Dude! The break duration are based on labour law. It's a warehouse job, after all. Set your expectation right.

The Costco I was at had many Iranians, Asians and Arabs.
In fact; our entire Chicken sales are halal.
Sounds like an issue not pertaining to the company, but maybe your warehouse, at best.
