Thanks for your very informative video. I was at wits end looking for the source of the noise in the back of my 2016 kakadu. I pulled out the third seats, dismantled the back trim, removing the rear door strut but to no avail. Checked out the rubber seal which was hard from all the dust accumulated over the past 8 years. Cleaned it thoroughly and hence the rattle was minimized. Also the door shuts positively without effort. I sprayed all the hinges at the rear as well. No rattles at all. My sanity has been restored. Thank you guys.
Don't know about the 150 but that tube is in my 120 I had that rattle and how I solved mine was the v shaped metal wedge on the left of the frame had closed slightly so took it off and opened it back out rattle sorted
Yes it’s unlisted because it’s not released to public yet I have many videos that are unlisted I try and only release wanna day because people complain there’s too many videos ha ha Ha
haha, didnt expect that comming :D , keep it going, you doing great job. Thank you very much for the informations you share, i appreciate it a lot! If theres anything i can help just let me know or if you have some kind of membership will gladly support.
Check door hinges. Close door and push on the door on the side of hinges to see if there is any play. My 100 prado had a rattle in the rear door for ages until I replaced the hinges. On my 150 I packed a sliver of rubber behind v shaped door stop plastic insert above the locking mechanism on the door. If there is no plastic insert then the door will flop up and down and eventually wear out the hinges. Good luck trying to get a new plastic insert Toyota don’t sell them, at least they couldn’t find it on the computer.

The rear door is leaking when it rains.. do u think its the weatherstrip that needs replacement? Thanks
Did cleaning the dust/debree out fix the rattle??
My 2014, 150 has a firmer piece where you described but it’s a bit lower. Mostly along the bottom of the door it’s probably 200mm long.
120 Prado yep have the hard bit N vavcum line on the same corner

The opening opening up the wedge, stopper at the top and a clean air filter fixed the resonance and rattle in mine
The Dmax I drive for work has that vacuum hose in the door seal in certain places.
Hey mate. Just wondering what your thoughts are about putting a turbo onto a 1994 hilux 3L engine
🙉👍🤘😎🇦🇺🍻💯 Looks like a boji repair. I wonder if the owner has any exhaust fumes entering the cabin. Replace the door rubber Beauuutiful.
