Dragon Age & Mass Effect are respectfully mature games intended for a mature audience, my content will feature such themes, so please be aware of that when watching. Thanks! - เกม
It's crazy how a few years ago i was checking everyday for even a crumb of new info on the game month after month day by day and now i honestly don't care that much at all. They really killed the hype for the game by realeasing that trailer at the game awards in 2020 and then going SILENT for years...and only news about the game were people getting laid off or leaving the studio
That’s cuz the had to like restart the project 3 times lol
@@conradkorbol Not our fault. We were pretty vocal about what we want from dragon age since praising tresspaser dlc for fixing base inquisition's wrongs. Sounds like awful terrible managment and higher ups at the studio
@@conradkorbol And the first restart was because they wanted to make a garbage live service. Not our fault that they're all idiots.
@@AzureRoxe i bet the developers were crying inside when they were forced to work on that live service crap
@@BB-pb3hv I don’t know who “we” is. I didn’t like trespasser all that much and don’t know what it fixed lol.
And there is portion of the fan base who hates inquisition for having no identity and fans like me who wish I was more like origins in game play. And others still who felt like the grey wardens were disrespected and none of those things were fixed by trespasser. Not to mention solar being the dread wolf, imo, a truly bad decision.
Plus their second idea was to make a stealth game whcih is not what most fans were asking for, nor are the rumors of the new game lol.
Please maker, let Dreadwolf release in a polished state and be a genuinely great game. BioWare need a W, and I really hope the inevitable comparisons to Baldurs Gate 3 won’t hinder it too much.
see I'm hoping the beast that is bg3 and the team working behind it acts as an incentive to make a polished game and turn an ear to the community.
The entire Dreadwolf development cycle is depressing. Particularly post-2020. Despite all that, I'm still excited for Dreadwolf. I love Dragon Age. I've loved it since I first played Origins when it released back in 2009. And I love the books too. And thank you Jackdaw. You're awesome as is your content.
Aw thank you!!
I'm still excited too! I want to see all those loose ends in the previous three games wrapped up with this one. Hopefully in a way that feels like a natural progression. The most recent trailer still has me very excited.
Ditto
It’s crazy that it’s been so long since Inquisition and we still have no sufficient information as to what we can expect from this game. Every single Dragon Age game, including dlc, all released within a six year timespan. It’s been ten years since inquisition!!! Baldur’s Gate 3 is so good but I don’t have the same attachment to the world of d&d as I do dragon age. It sucks to be a dragon age fan. This game better be THE dragon age game.
Same
Jesus has it really been nearly a decade? Wow.
My sentiment exactly!
I know!! 😅
Not gonna lie it feels weird to think about how much DA content were gonna have this year after years of so little. Can't wait to see more videos from you. once the reveal drops!
The issue is that we have no reason to believe it'll be good.
@@AzureRoxe the issue is, that we have no reason to believe that there actually WILL be a reveal this year. They said times and times again "more coming next year" "more infos soon" and then there was nada. Idk but i somehow doubt the big reveal this summer XD
I’m more excited about the release of new Jackdaw videos than I am for DAD.
Honestly, same here 😂
Aww that means so much!! Thank you!!
Honestly!! Jackdaw is my fav gaming journalist hands down I love to see his reactions and his news coverage
@@JackdawYT It would be nice to get more honest reacts tho, you surely keep a high guard around your own words while commenting on all the depressing mess that is happening across the industry recently...And while I do understand reasons behind this smooth talk, still feels like you are really trying not to spill too much of how you actually feel about it all...as a youtuber more than a gamer
I really want some type of information regarding Dreadwolf. I'm concerned about those working on it and the game itself. No information other than lay off after lay off. I hope we get some positive soon. Thanks for the upload.
We all do.
You and me both!
It's incredible that the only solid thing we know about this game......was a small gameplay leak from last year.
And that's it cause we pretty much know nothing else truly solid. We know some behind the scenes stuff like the fact the game was originally a crappy live service spinoff before they changed to a full single player title, but not much else.
Do you ever watch BTS trailer from Gamescom and think how half of the people who spoke there don't work at Bioware anymore, even though it was only 4 years ago? 😅
Against all odds and despite this super depressive development, my love for DA resurfaced this spring and I am quite excited about Dreadwolf. Many studios had been through rough times and have managed to get through it, including everyone's favourite Larian or Bethesda before Morrowind, so I wouldn't write Bioware off yet.
And then personally, I don't need Dreadwolf to be a masterpiece (maybe I'm in the minority), I love DA lore and the franchise has already earned a very special place in my nerdy heart so I'll probably enjoy playing Dreadwolf anyway, at least to some extent, even if it's "worse" than other instalments 🙈😅
So I am excited and I hope that in a few months we will put on our tinfoil hats again, dissecting every little detail of new trailers and writing lengthy comments about whether we crush the egg or not ❤
I am replaying inquisition as you speak (heavily modded), excited to see what's to come. Hopefully an early summer reveal.
What mods do you use
Is there a mod to increase banter
This is a very sobering video. I saw a comment elsewhere saying that they were pre-ordering because Bioware had 10 yrs working on this. I wish I could have directed them to this timeline. This is a timeline mirroring that of a brand new studio making a game for the first time. Any hype to pre-order is immensely unwarranted.
I was so surprised and excited for this to come across my feed!
Hope you enjoy it! That means so much to hear!
@@JackdawYT I always do! ☺️
The leaks say DAD is coming out this year. Honestly between it and KCD2, this year is gonna be wild for RPGs
don't forget Avowed
I don't think your final conclusions are too far off Jack! From the occasional Mark Darrah video I've watched I certainly get the sense that there's been a lot of... upper management issues that have impacted Bioware and corporate mismanagement from EA. I still have hope for the game, but my bigger hope is that Bioware is allowed to focus on DA and ME without having to cater so much to whatever EA's du jour game mechanic of the moment is (looking at you live services). If they just become the DA+ME studio I wouldn't mind. I'd rather get consistently good versions of both of those games than have new Bioware IPs popping up.
I feel like it's not just one or two people, but a lot of people who want a return of Dragon Age: Origins. Origins I'd say was the last true RPG Bioware made. If we got the same quality of Origins at the sacrifice of a VA main character then I'd be ok.
I still to this day wish to god we could get a full on remake/remaster of Dragon Age Origins.
Regardless of what kind of game DA: Dreadwolf turns out to be, I think all those veteran departures mean one thing: it will very likely be the last DA game, and perhaps thats for the best.
I started DA-Origins in my late 30s and got the next two instalments within 5yrs, waiting for the next one a decade later I am in my mid 50s and story progression has stagnated.
I really lost confidence in Bioware last year after all the departures of original staff who know DA inside and out. With BG3 and DD2, my RPG needs are bing met, and I may not even jump on DA-DW upon release (if it came out last year I would have been all over it).
Now I have learned that all those old Bioware staff are starting (almost ready for release) a new franchise called Exodus has me more excited for that.
IF DA-DW is amazing, it will restore my faith in Bioware and I will eat humble pie.
Same story here, I am 44 already, 10 years and many DA replays have passed since DAI, faith lost, don't know what to expect.
No I think you’re right I was an adult when origins came out. I got to test it at comic con San Diego. I really loved it and was a huge fan but I’m just glad I got to see the release of BG 3. In my mind it’s the closest thing to a real Dragon Age sequel. Da2 and inquisition were both good but they really were a different type of game than Origins imho.
I just can’t friggin wait. Got my fiancé to play Inquisition and got to nerd out and fill home in on lore whenever he had questions. Dying to see who returns, what the graphics will look like, the story, the combat, and the return of our favorite Mr Egg. 🎉🎉🎉
*The six-year wait will soon be over* (Maker bless those who have waited ten years since Inquisition's release)
Still doesn't feel real 😂
I feel the Maker's blessing. Maker bless you.
I would like to be wrong; just not excited anymore. Before 2023, I never asked will it be good? Will it be fun? We’ll see I guess
I was checking out your channel earlier today!!! I manifested this Jackdaw post!✨😂
You manifested me!! Haha what video would you like to manifest next? Rivain lore video? Something on Solas? Thoughts on something else? Manifest in comments 🙏🏻
@@JackdawYT love a successful manifestation!!✨😂 I mean YES to ALL OF the above but I‘ve recently started simping for solas again so anything you‘re willing to give me on that front I‘ll gladly take😅 Does he qualify as a cult leader now? Is his bald head gonna be even shinier with new graphics? What does the dread wolf smell like? I think he smells like Lavender, Bergamot, Musk and Regret.
Awesome video, Jack! Thanks for making so much awesome DA content. I was just thinking about DA today and my plans for replaying all of the games once we finally get an official release day. So excited!!
All the excitement and hype is gone for me, i remmever every few weeks i used ro check on internet about new info. Now its laughable...
1st Teaser released 6 years ago and still now now gameplay trailer. If has become a comedy
As I followed Dragon Age updates so close in these years and as an italian, the biggest reveal I got was your pronunciation of Lord Borgiani, the way I gasped. It's funny tho, this will probably be the first thing I think of when meeting that character in game for the first time ahah . (Still very nice as a recap lol)
hahahahaha that's amazing and I apologise for my awful way of saying it! My pronunciation of most words is most of the time wrong but at least you will have it etched into your mind when you meet Lord Borgiani
Soon or sooooon?😆
Thank you as always for these wonderful videos despite your busy schedule, although progress has been slow yet on-going. It truly is disappointing to no end that there been so many lay-offs, change of career among the staff, including some that been there since back in 2006, all the way to the change in direction for the game. Honestly as i said before ill at best wait months after its released, if it ever does come, and just see how it fares in the market. I still remember when origins came out and the love i had for it, but looking back, this has grown heavy on my heart
What time to be alive to waking up to a Jackdaw video!😊
Jeez how time flies. So excited for the Dreadwolf Rises.
Don't worry, guys. It'll only take ANOTHER 10 years till DA5
😭😭😭😭😭
I would not have made it through this clown show without Jackdaw’s channel 😂
Aw thank you!!
This is a great video, thank you
You're very welcome!
If they make magic powerful but dangerous again, I'd be happy. But seriously, i always play as a mage, and origins really depicted mages close to lore: magic is powerful but dangerous; not everyone can learn it let alone master it
Wait, are you talking about the red lyrium idol from da2? Wasn't it destroyed with Merediths sword?
this video is almost a 40minute list of people who left bioware
I've been waiting for a new DA video from you, I can't watch anybody else talk about the series lmao it just doesn't feel right
Appreciate that so much!! Means a lot to hear your loyalty and that I'm doing a decent job, thank you!!
I got money on it being more soooooonnnnnn as opposed to soon.
Since playing Baldurs Gate 3, I don't have particularly high expectations for this game anymore...
Given what we know of its production, I'm surprised you ever did. Not to take anything away from BG3 (phenomenal game), but I find the lore of DA much more intriguing.
@@JEEPER7788 Which means nothing.
@@AzureRoxe To you...
I know what you mean. I like BioWare’s games but now when I play them I just can’t stop making comparisons. No pointless fetch quests. Engaging level design. Choices that actually matter. Variety in the combat. Depth in the combat mechanics. The role playing in BG3 beats any BioWare game I can think of with only Origins coming close. And this might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer the character creator in BG3 to any of BioWare’s character creators. I would rather spend time on the scars and freckle density than on adjusting a slider to try to make a nose look normal.
I have a feeling that BW is going to double down on all the trends that I don’t like about how they design their games. The combat has been getting worse with each installment in the DA franchise. It just keeps getting simpler and less interesting and they don’t provide us with multiple ways to handle encounters. It’s all stab and or sparkle things to death. Enemies don’t have special weaknesses so we don’t have to think about which companions are best for handling which encounters. Every fight is pretty much the same in Inquisition. Having to account for a bunch of choices we would have made previously limits the ability they have to create cohesive and compelling stories with depth. They’re probably also going to keep doing big, empty open worlds and fill them with fetch quests for codex entries and crappy loot. Just to pad out the game and make it look like it offers lots of stuff to do.
There’s also a completed Cyberpunk to compare to and once they actually finished the game, CDPR made something pretty fantastic. Tons of variety in the combat and a great story with depth. And Judy ❤
I think both Larian and BioWare excel at making engaging companion characters, though. With the exception of the companions in ME Andromeda. They weren’t very engaging. And the facial animations were weird in that game. Very distracting. (The mocap and voice acting is definitely a point in Larian’s favor. I’ve never seen such beautiful acting in a video game.)
Ok, now I’m just gushing. They even personalized the running animations for each of the companion characters. Astarion has a fruity run and Gale does this little wizard shuffle so we know he’s not very athletic. I love the attention to details like that which flesh out the characters even outside of conversations. All right, I’m done.
@@beccangavin I honestly couldn't have said it better myself!
The only thing that has me worried is Bioware’s lack of transparency. Like come on! All those blog posts and then … radio silence. It’s all gonna come out sooner or later. Thank god though we only have a couple months left of wait for the rumored announcement tho.
We know little to nothing about the next game😂 Who is our new main character? What’s the plot? Our companions? Like all we know is solas, solas, solas.
SOON SOON SOON
I was so excited for dreadwolf! Ever since the Netflix mini series dropped though I’ve just been indifferent to it which is so sad as I loved everything DA. Replayed the games yearly. Haven’t since the series
All this back and forth between different types of game confuses me, hopefully it comes out as a cohesive game. Excited for the game despite this though, I’m of the minority that liked anthem (maxed out achievements on 3 accounts) and andromeda so I’m happy to wait for this game. Maybe I can upgrade my pc with a rtx 5090 or something before the game comes out, as I expect bad optimization which is the norm these days. Going overkill on specs reduces impact of poor performance on gameplay.
I can't wait ti get it ❤❤❤❤
I fully expect DA:D to be a steaming heap at this point, I'm still getting it so I can smack the Egg but I have no confidence in it anymore, I hope they prove me wrong.
BioWare better not disappoint with this game!
Summer reveal?
Jackdaw still out here doing the Lords work ! Not long to go now what a wait it's been. How many times sat drunk in clown make up feeling disappointed yet again. Its almost here though 😂
😂😂 It's true!! Not a clown for too long, here's hoping
First off appreciate the video Jackdaw .
Red disastrous development history I see as being ultimately responsible because of two entities. These entities are not symptoms but sources.
The first has to do with the category of who ultimately is in control of the project. And that could very well go above development leadership to the ruling company authority figure . The top dog. The individual or individuals that all the project heads have to ultimately answer to. Where all the decision-making for the project goes and has to be cleared by. Where direction for the project is Given and or forced.
I think of this individual or group of individuals as the ‘ Decision-making controllers’. They get the final say so and have all of the pool as to what the results of the projects end up being.
Whether the decision making controller is at the current modern day BioWare or whether it stems from EA. In either case, the decision making controllers have the wrong priorities. That’s it.
It is literally that simple.
The decisionmaker controllers for these projects, Orit ties everything but entertainment/escapism .
Their priorities stem from profit exploitation to lazy manipulation to disingenuous relevancy pandering. None of these things have anything to do with escapism, which is the fundamental core of entertainment as a identity. It’s why it’s so universally loved because the whole point of entertainment is to provide escape and the controllers do not have this as a priority at all.
It is why you see such a blatant distinction between OG BioWare old that no longer exist, but produced all the franchises that we love AND the current made for a modern day audience BioWare With their consistent pattern of project failures.
Different priorities, that’s the underlying problem there. Old BioWare prioritized entertainment/escapism….. current day BioWare prioritizes profit and relevancy.
Which makes the outcomes and project results astronomically different.
And BioWare or EA is not alone in this. We see this prioritization across the multi billion dollar AAA landscape. It has been a very consistent and blatant pattern for a decade and only growing in its focus. A lot of projects release nowadays feel more like micro transaction, stores and personal social platform extensions than a game at all.🤦♂️
Now the second source entity here, and I’m speaking to myself in this as well, is the consumer .
I honestly think social media played a part in this as well as the natural growing success over the decades of this entertainment, medium… But complacency said in. You see more responses from the majority consumer base now to excuse and justify shortcomings or fail or subpar in adequate results , focused on the wrong priorities a project THAN accountability and consequence. It is a consumer complacency that is more than happy to settle to satiate instant gratification and boredom. The majority consumer does not have a spine anymore, they do not have a standard appropriate to the astronomical potential allotted to multi billion dollar companies with limitless resources and finances . And reiterating this potential be put towards the right priorities. Towards originality and creative, artistry and unapologetic authentic escape.
But the majority consumer does not hold these standards nor have the spine to demand that they met. And again, I have fallen short in this area many times in the past as well. Providing access to my eyeballs and wallets for subpar and adequate results focused on the wrong priorities .
Because you have to understand that the ultimate decision-making controllers do not care about these projects. It’s just business for them. It’s just money. They will never care, but they do care about what effects their profit. The focus of their priorities, stems from manipulating consumers, and exploiting them as much as possible. More precisely, exploiting as much as they will allow. Because that benefits them the most. So if they can move the line and normalize you to a low standard… Then this would be the most preferred outcome for them as it provides better profit on their end. But if you have a spine and cannot be persuaded to move the line in the direction that they prefer and instead you maintain a high-quality standard with focus on the right priority results… Then at bare minimum, that is what they will provide you with. Not because they care, but because that’s the only way to get access to your eyeballs and wallet. in that regard, a balance is kept.
So this is a long-winded rant at this point to reiterate the source of the problems not only with Dred Wolf, but with many of these multibillion dollar AAA game companies and their results : the problem sources are the decision-maker controllers wrong priorities AND complacent consumers satiating instant gratification, and boredom with a willingness to settle. ( I have only realized with myself over the past few years and am doing better about)
The solution is to grow that fine and restrict what we give our eyeball and wallet access to. Incentivize and reward the right priorities , such as most recently Larian with bg3,….. and any other priority be met with no access to eyeballs or wallets. If consumers reiterated consistently this… Then the product results and insane potential with their limitless resources and finances backing would be realized.
“ you get the beast that you feed”
If you can remember this, you will get projects far far, exceeding the results that you settle for currently . And this kind of demand backed by action would help real creative artist, developers, the most. Because the priorities you are focused on seeing are the same priorities that they care about : unapologetic, creativity, and escape.
2024 is the best release option for Dragon age, GTA VI is coming out 2025, not a good year to release any other game to compete for goty. Looking forward for this summer reveal but mixed feelings. Nice video, thanks.
Wow, a long video!😮
Still curious about Goldman's departure, he was sharing quite a bit and interacting with fans on x/twitter until his departure. Either way I'm glad DAD is single player!
Don't we flippin know it?!
Another cinematic. Yay.
It's been playable since 2022 🥲
Ugh Trevor Morris 💔
It's been 10 years since dai 🤯
Mary Kirby 💔
It's probably releasing 2025 "soon"
Thanks for the wrap up, Jack!
wish they had a fighting game already have all the characters throw em up on a screen and have them fight.
As much as I want to play dragon age I’m glad they pushed it back and told us why they did it.
You know, at first I wanted DAD to be in 2024, but now, seeing how my pc is slowly dying and having no money excluding my 'back up' money, and still waiting for my job application to be accepted, I kinda hope for DA to come out in 2025 so that I myself will be able to play it.But regardless, if it really releases in 2024, I will just simply watch a gameplay and play it myslef once I get a new pc.Ahh it really has been nearly 10 years eh, it feels so weird.
This has more red flags then a mine field. Plus the 2 releases before this. Im very worried. Dragon age or not. Im not gunna run out to buy it just on name alone. Which is heart breaking. Cause the first DAO trailer still brings chills. I want this to be great but the current state of gaming is depressing. I can think of only 1 game i will be buying this year for sure.
As a swiftie I know Jack will appreciate me summing up how I feel about Dragon Age with Taylor Swift lyrics:
“I love you. It’s ruining my life.”
I’ll get the new game (but not the deluxe version) but this whole development process has me sad and disappointed. I’m sure I’ll love the game even if critics hate it but yeah 🙃
hahahha thank you for the Swiftie reference, it's very apt!
@@JackdawYT Ha knew I’d make you smile! I don’t have high hopes for the game being GOOD but I also know I’m down bad enough for Dragon Age that I’ll enjoy even a mediocre game 🤷🏻♀️. I might just donate the cost of the game to a charity to offset my ickyness about giving BioWare $60.
Can someone please inform me on this will they release Dreadwolf in India inquisition isn't available in India still even tho the laws prevented it's sales are gone like years ago because right now If I am able to play it I had to buy keys to play it
We should post it on EA community forum
@@liesideways somone did post about it but no answers came
The only thing I hate more than the fact that they only pivoted back to single player focus after EA realizing it was more viable than thought is the rampant doom posting about this game. Like seriously people just wait till the game releases before you start assembling the guillotine
Honestly, i wouldn't even be upset if the next game just felt like a part 2 of inquisition. i love inquisition and while at least graphics could definitely be better with new developments, i would love it if dread Wolf was just like inquisition but with new story. in fact i hope it's very similar because i liked inquisition so much more than the first two games.
since Twitter went down the shitter devs don't even interact with the DA fandom anymore
Also true!
Maybe not on Twitter but Patrick Weekes has been answering lots of questions over on Bluesky, John Epler sometimes chimes in with comments as well.
Man anthem is so sad. Joplin sounded amazing from what I've read about it.
I Really hope they aint ruined it,, it's been so long,, the same for ME as well
Oh, and don't forget how they won't EVER be able to reach the level of BG3 (yes, now it's a marker to how a creator can really PROVIDE )
Fr, BG3 set the bar for RPGs and are still doing so as their team works with the community at improving the game.
frostbite is the single reason for 50% of bioware's problems
The game is going to be DREADFUL 😂
aaaaaAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I'm so disappointed with them. I hate the fact that they play all these games with us . Dragon age inquisition is my favorite game but I probably will not bother with the next game. It's taking too much time .
This game will probably be biowares last game. They are dying and have been for years. The same curse with most triple A studios they either drive out all the talent that made them great to begin with or they get so arrogant that they become lazy and put out half baked, broken, lifeless messes like starfield.
Everything that happened with severance packages not being paid out and the way the dragon age team were treated makes me weary to even support bioware or EA at all. It sucks that I used to slurp up every update and now I just feel sad. I hope the game is food but idk if I have much hope for it anymore.
Well I love this sieries since time when I bout DA. Sinse Newervinter. Today I can say that after leaving SOOOO MUCH staf and so much reworks DA4 is hardly can be a good game. Give back linlaw! But... I am gona to buy it anyway. Hpope they didnt put that stupis multiplayer thing again.
If you make a geme like 10 years IT Shuld Be AA+ at least. We can Only Pray People... 🦍
well even if it comes out in 2025 we've waited 7 years, we can wait 3 more months imo 🤡 nice video.
Exactly, gives people more time to prep for it by upgrading pc or replaying the games to keep it fresh in memory. 🤡 🎉
Some have waited 10 years we’re tired of waiting. An some ppl out there wont make it to those 3 months of still waiting if we’re being honest.
Damm Ea fuck this up let's see if this is a good I will not pre order this but let's see
Tx for the hard work. Well... when they put multiplayer in Inq - that was already a bad sighn. BUT! If not that stupid EA - DA4 was already on my Pc and it Was Good. Bioware shuld f** that stupid ea games and make some good games like they can with Lindaw and Guider.
Maybe this is only my oppinion but... EA is bad at every game they do. You know the joke. They in it only for the money. Bioware was awsome in NW series, and all of DA. Bioware Core is people who whant not money but a dicebt RPG or better then that... heh. Can you imagine what DA2 whoud be if onlye Bioware developed it? It steel a good game but… it could be 10\10...
Ff7 rebirth, now kingdom come 2. While dragon age 4 be like 😴 💤
Not long now... soon ;(
I'm a HUGE fan of DA but considering HOW fans and community have BEEN TREATED FOR OVER 10 YEARS, im almost hoping they fail badly at it, cause they literally asking for it, lack of communication or any kind of hints about hte game development just piss off any kind of fan, they BETTER get us something REALLY BIG, cause 10 year to make a fucking game considering the whole lot of today technology just is a big pile of crap no matter their excuses is just failed justifications for their imcopetence at creating the game and MAKING something worth of the name of the franchise. i played all 3 games and i dare say NONE stand to the quality of DAO, inquisition redeemed some of the game quality.... BUT EVEN SO was not as good as the FIRST
.
It was better than the first
@@jerimiahjackson4235 if you are talking about the inquisition yes it had some stuff better than origins, for me i think the impact on your party members were a litle too soft ( maybe thats my preferences talking since i didnt like much of the characters we had to party with i literally liked only iron bull, dorian, varric and cassandra ), solas was a big surprise didnt expect that huge plot twist by the end of the game i give him the credit
Call me crazy but I am still miffed and their change of the black and gold design to the weird "oh look at me I am a gamer" neon violet/purple/pink. XD Yeah I know, of all the things to be pissed about XD There are bigger problems that I am pissed about but damn, that design change just makes me sad.
no, I get you. Looking at the design, it makes me feel more Cyberpunk-like project rather than high dark fantasy dragon age. It just doesn't fit the vibe they're trying to go with for the trailers. We need something dark and mysterious to tie the game to, not in your face and flashy.
@@ladysintophatswtf7287 Wasn't there even something that they wanted to go back to the darker and grittier feel from Origins? That would make the new color scheme even less fitting :(
@@yas_lana I remember hearing something about falling back to the darker color palettes but honestly I can't remember
Dreadwolf and Bloodlines 2 are in a dead heat for which project history will remember as the bigger dumpster fire.
Honestly I kind of hated Inquisition. It had the best story of all 3 games. I was so mad that they soiled it with terrible gameplay. A clean slate gives me more hope than not. Granted, my standards were extremely low since the moment they announced it would be an MMO- showing an extreme disconnect with their playerbase. Knowing the people that advocated for THAT are gone, makes me hope we have new leaders that are a little more bright eyed a bushy tailed- a little less bogged down with years worth of corporate bullshit and money minded, and more willing to try new things and listen to the devs/staffs/communities feedback.
Please Bioware. Just make the game good
Let's be realistic about how things are - since the greedy doers made main creators leave the company, this is either gonna be a trash game overflowing with THE MESSAGE above plot, or it's gonna be just a trash game (the last in the line). Hopefully we get to know FenHarel's final act. However I am not even sure about it. GL to all Dragon age fans here, it all currently goes to sh*t.
Bioware is in complete dysfunction. Dreadwolf most likely gonna flop and EA gonna take Bioware out back by 2028. Sad. Reminder, if a great Studio gets aquired or takes on investor money, that studio is a walking corpse. Stick with independent studio where from top to bottom the people working there care about the product, not quarterly growth quotas.
I'm so worried lol. This has every sign of being an absolute trashfire of a game, but if there's one game that I really don't want to be a trashfire, it's this one 😢
The layoffs are because the game is taking too long.
When will their summer showcase be you think? I read rumors of early June, like the 7th
Xbox showcase and Summer Game Fest are the only possible places to reveal it. Unless they're doing an ea Play live event again(after 3 years that is)
I want to see the combat the gameplay everything just so I’m fears are put to rest 🥲
