If you move to Conroe Texas be ready for the freight train that incessantly blow their horns coming through at 3am in the morning
ahh good to know! I did notice a train right down town when filming this!
Doesn’t impact all of Conroe smh
I live inside the 336 loop and never hear a train.
@@justinb1606 I think we found a California liberal who fled from there! No brains just talking out their ass!
good for making babies
I grew up in Conroe, it’s just a place to live. The lake is about all that is there. It’s peaceful for the most part but a lot of drunk drivers.
That’s all over the world genius, Conroe isn’t more prone to it than any where else. Idiots inhabit every city on the planet
Same
Conroe sucks, it was okay until people started moving here now it's crowded. Traffic is terrible.
My daughter and her family live in Conroe and my sister in law lives in Montgomery. We visit twice a year and really enjoy ourselves. Looking to move and semi retire within 1 years time.
Great video, family man you are 👍 Iike I said, I love when you go out and show areas, definitely recommening you to family and friends . I'm in bridgeland, when we're ready I'll be calling, 3-5 years plan.. areas Conroe, and Cypress
sweet I appreciate that for sure and look forward to hearing from ya!
Id say the woodlands is probably one of the most impressive cities in texas, ive been all across texas and i havent seen a city quite like it, but conroe is more affordable to live in, ill say that.
Theres nothing really bad about conroe, but if youre thinking about huge attractions, not so much. South of downtown conroe is more of the poor area, where walking the streets youll run into guys asking for change for weird reasons. So if you do move here, dont bother looking south of downtown.
Hi, can you do a rental segment on best areas in Spring, Cypress, and Sugar Land please
One of your best videos. We'll done brother well done 👏👏
thanks so much! can you believe its one of the fastest growing in the COUNTRY??
I was born and lived most of my life in north Texas. I’ve been gone since ‘89 but coming down in April to look at a tiny home community. Do you have any information about communities where you can place tiny homes? I’m moving down from Alaska so reality my move will be 1.5 years away.
I’m looking in to Conroe near lake , but the tax rates I have to watch ,3.0 - 3.3 % is high I’m about 3 1/2 years away from retirement, rather pay more for property, with less tax rate, I knew person lives in wood forest , his house appraised $480,000 his taxes were $12,000,that was in 2020
1st!
planning to move 6 months from now. I like the mavera master plan, near woodlands
what is wrong with retiree's/older people. Youngster too will grow old unless they die young.
I'm a Georgia guy that loved my time in Conroe just outside of cut and shoot I wouldn't trade my time there for anything
My husband and I are leaving the military in two years and his family lives in Houston. Your videos are helping us so much form our plans .
I grew up here from 1995-2008, attended elementary through Sophmore year. It was a small, little town while I was there. I went back recently and don't recognize the majority of it now being highly developed. Spent my evenings, weekends and summers at Candy Cane Park, & my sister was married at Conroe tower.
Im from NYC, looking to move next year
Stay there Texas is full
wow quite the move hopefully the videos help! when you are ready reach out!
New York City 🗽Rules.
@@keithborden4049 yea stay away from liberal wasteland Austin that’s for sure
Conroe is still laid back, with a proper lake and “historic downtown” Conroe is slowly becoming a progressive city. Definitely not a sleepy town no more! Id look into Grand Central Park to be Conroes next hub, with the Hyatt convention center and SHSU expansion that area is gonna 🚀
Need to move in by School starts summer 24. Need a 4+ bedroom. Need to be close to a lake . Looking at Cypress, Town lake and Conroe
reach out and see how we can helP!
I’m from CA went to Conroe a couple of years ago and felt it was dead I drove through the “historic downtown” around noon time during a weekday and it was deserted. I saw a brand new community the house was beautiful but I could not see myself living there
Your comment helps a lot. Thank you for being honest.
Good stay in commiefornia
@@jen6741 hope the videos help too! its beautiful up there but definitely sleepier which some people love
ya for some they love that and for others they dont, thats why i like to be partial on this channel! what area did you choose then?
@@LivinginHoustonTX I liked Cypress 😍
Hopefully within six months. We are very interested in the Humble / Atastocita / Kingwood area, and then north up to Conroe as well to stretch budget.
I would not recommend Humble, Crime rate is high. I currently live in kingwood. I’d go for kingwood or Atascocita.
We escaped Kingwood 2 years ago and never looked back. Crime, insurance, water bills, taxes skyrocketing since Houston annexed us. There are restaurants but they're pretty forgettable and there's usually quite a wait. Do your due diligence. Check and see how much all that will cost you.
Conroe has grown thru annexation of many new subdivisions There are three Conroes. One, old somewhat revitalized downtown area. Two and three are miles and miles of typical Texas strip malls and businesses along 6 lane hwy 105 W and 8 lane I-45. Getting around is not a picnic. The new homes are all very nice but it's location, location and flood issues. Do your homework.
Watch for and avoid any new development in the old Conroe Oil field.. They shouldn’t allow development there, but don’t take it for granted. There is already one Crater lake there. But the rest of Conroe is GREAT. …. They got away with illegal oil production methods. especially in the 1940’s when the gov was demanding oil for the war effort. Most old oil fields are ok but that one is questionable
I’m from Boston and looking for a house. These prices have me looking elsewhere. I want to buy in the next two years. If I don’t find anything local I’ll be calling you.
Hi,
its Creek.
crick hahah
We like Woodland Hills Area. Can you send us more info
Thanks for the good video. Is there any existing condo buildings or any being planned for people who want the walk to town experience. As a senior I'm not looking for a house to maintain... I want wine bars and restaurants in walking distance. Thanks kindly.
Take my advice as a local you don’t want to move to Conroe it’s not what he’s making it out to be! Downtown is al lawyer offices and the court house the streets are terrible the traffic sucks the infrastructure sucks medical care is terrible ! Dining is bad unless you want to eat Mexican food 7 days a week and there are two sets of railroad tracks all 4 directions Also a huge illegal alien population try Katy instead
Does tenis scores I play there in soccer withbmy frinds and the open field play american football but do not stay Friday 8:30pm because they start to hit the smoke of any type.
Can you make a vlog tour of Elysian community
thats a great idea!
@@LivinginHoustonTX thank you
@@LivinginHoustonTX what’s perfect about Elyson that it’s close to Katy and Cypress and it’s one of the newest communities that it’s being developed in Houston and the prices are very reasonable
5 months out but I’ve been looking since about 10 months out. I’m looking at Pearland. I just want somewhere where I can road cycle and run with a good variety of roads and trails that are safe.
lots of area for that for sure!
We are looking to move to Mavera in about 6 months. We want to be close to hospitals for work.
Just watched your video. We loved it. We are about 7 years out, planning for retirement. Love that whole area.
I lived in willis for 20 plus years .this area is full of the most rude people in texas .20 years ago it was ok
Sick Air 😂
probably like 10 ft in the air at least!
6 months from moving! Still trying to pin down an area. 😅
I'm 5 years planning. I have to wait until my girlfriend retire. I do have a question. I'm looking for 1 to 3 acres in or near conroe. My dream is to build a barndimium. I'm a retired veteran of 22 years (National Guard) with a 100% disability. I'm also a retired police officer of 30 years. I guess my question is, how hard is it to find 1 to 3 acres, and are barndos a thing there? I'm planning a trip there within a few months to look around. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
It’s creek I live in Conroe even today
Hi. 3.5 years out. From White Rock Canada near Vancouver👍🏻
wow yup we have had a few from canada!!
Looking forward to connecting.
May be a challenging assignment 🙌🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇨🇦
At 62 I’m from California considering this area but it looks boring even at my age. I’d have to visit
I’m from cali also looking at this area, need to be close to lake ,with a small town feel , that has what I need
@@jpaul4788 my brother and sister located their families to Texas a few years ago from Cali and they love it. They fish, boat and hunt
Good all of you stay in Cali! Small towns arent for Cali or New York liberals we don’t like your city bullshit we like it quiet, small, and family oriented!
@@jpaul4788we looked at several towns in texas. Conroe was very nice. Wasn’t like some other cities where everything was so spread out. Everything you need is within 10 min
@@paullowell3342 that’s good know , thanks
You didn’t talk about the churches that are in Conroe
My brother has lived there for a number of years. Now a dear friend has moved there.
Montgomery is gorgeous 🤩🥰
Don't tell people! Gosh.
5-6 years, anywhere not that close to my mother
It’s usually like 1:32 to get to Huston for us lot of trafic
What are your thoughts on Spring, TX? Is it a major flood area?
Most of spring is exactly like Houston. Not that safe and a lot of crime
I'm from Houston and moved to Conroe and loving it! It's definitely a growing city
I know someone who was a youth paster in Conroe
I come from MI and it's a creek
Looks kind of boring to live there
July 2023 looking to move
KAS Skate Park used to be an old 6 foot Half pipe. I use to take my son when he was like eight and nine years old and he would ride his scooters on that half pipe and all the older kids would ask me, Hey, is your son sponsored? He use to shred that half pipe like it was nothing.
I miss those days! Bear Branch skate park was are other go to spot in the Woodlands.
Do the newly developed communities allow for you to park your boat on the driveway?
Is Conroe just like Houston where it caters to families or can single individuals live there too and enjoy it just as much or will single folk have not much to do?
July 2027
I'm researching about 11 weeks from when I want to be living there.
Looking at the spring/woodlands/Conroe area.
Creeeeek lol 😆
18-24 months Conroe/Katy/Spring/Cypress
*Montgomery County Fairgrounds, not Magnolia.
I'm planning on possibly moving in late June to early July.
Looking to move in 1-4 years from California
Aren't you also the guy from a Portland channel?
Just wait till you go tru cut n shoot 😅
houston is the armpit of Texas
What is the flood potential like in Mavera?
Look at the flood maps of the zones etc the internet is one hell of a resource lmao 😅
would have to look, most anythiing new is going to be well planned out though
@@Hamasisfilthytrash Any recommendations of flood maps?
year out
Thinking about moving to Conroe closer to the woodlands in about 3 months .. I’m really scared tho .. it looks really lonely
I’m moving there from LA. Can’t wait to not walk over bums. Lots of things to do within 15 minutes
Wishing you the best with your move. You will love it there. 🤗
In Oregon we call them crickets
3-6 months out!
You couldn't pay me to live in Houston!!!
Why,? Where are you now?
3 months out
Very informative. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Conroe Texas isn't all that great. Just like any other cities and towns in Texas. Texas in general is a boring hot state.
