It's funny to think 400$ used to be flagship territory but a few years later 330$ is clearly budget. Now sub 500$ is budget, 500$ to 1000$ mid-range, 1000$ to 2000$ flagship, 2000+$ foldable/tri-fold/luxury phones. And all that while the new generation of phone add nothing new, it's just a status symbol. Buy the 8a if you don't mind looking poor, it's a great phone that got those thick bezels to remind people where you come from. :)
"looking poor" until I lost it I had a pixel 4 with a very worn down case so much that it had turned white from black on most parts, and I have more expendable income than the average American, probably because I don't spend $2000 on something I could drop or forget somewhere and I'm out $2k. Nobody is really looking at your phone and judging what your financial situation is, or very few people at least, just save the cash and buy the minimum. You can always find pre owned and even open box older pixels and galaxy phones for under $100 even, or $100-200 for newer stuff.
yeah ofc I got this on black Friday wknd it was free with a new line and I don't mind it. I'm coming from an iPhone 13 mini a little bigger but it's good for movies
I bought one for Mom a couple months ago, so I could grab her a 256 GB phone. It wasn't on super sale like it is now, but it was still a great deal! I have to say that after years of hearing people be down on the optical finger print scanner, I have had no issue since the Pixel 7. The sensor on the 6 was bad, but both the 7 and the 8 were great for me. I think reviewers don't like optical b/c you have to press for a fraction of a second vs tapping like you do with an ultrasonic sensor.
$400 is alreadty super low as compared to the other countries. Dont wait as the Pixel A series are pretty much sold out after a bunch of sales promotion
The Pixel 8A is the last true Pixel. Now Google is copying Apple. BTW the screen is not flat. It's 2.5 D curved. Protectors do not cover the whole screen.
The fingerprint reader on my Pixel 8 recognises my left thumb, but not my right. It also has the same problem my Pixel 6 had. An unknown number calls me and there is no option for the Google assistant call screening. The feature isn't there nor is it in the settings. The other problem is the voice to text. I swear that Google assistant speaks english as a third language or is illiterate, yet if i use my limited spanish phrases, it gets it perfect.
Not ready per say but they should have it prepared by January 15th The confirmed changes are: A different sensor. - should give less noise and better lowlight performance A 5000mAh battery - quite an upgrade from the previous 4500 A bigger screen - 6.3" Flat Design, no camera bump Honestly they should put a better vibration motor first, then build on that cuz it gives the tactile feeling that makes people wanna use it more
Got my Pixel 8A at $500usd and they even gave me a Pixel A Earbuds for free. I can tell you that this phone has the best wifi connection of all the phones that I have tested. Battery is good but I think the Pixel 8 has the better battery
This was high end a few years ago, companies want more profit and the dollar is worth less. I highly doubt manufacturing cost is much over $100-200 for the newest IPhone, yet prices go up $400 every year. I say this is a pretty nice phone, I'm used to buying pre owned off ebay to avoid monthly payments and my phone being worth 50% of what it was before I opened the box, caring what phone other people have is chilidish, people think they are gonna get denied service for having an older android🤣
i know at this point this phone got much more hate that it was necessary and i really like this phone. it is very nice, reminds me of the iphone 11 BUT at this price range just go for the Iphone 12 or 13, even if you are an android fan. just trust me on this one, those are the absolute best phones in this price category and i really am not an apple fanboy im just stating facts it is MILES better than this phone. Im sorry but this phone really has no place in the current market unless you are a pixel phone superfan, but just know that you are not spending your money right...
Pixel is a shitphone. No good battery life. It's only being hyped because it is from USA. Try Oneplus 12R. That's a great bang for buck phone. I miss Huawei.
Well, I work all day on my 8a calling patients, using GPS all day, handling personal finance/stock trades, etc. as I am an adult with a job and not playing video games all day. And I still have 35% at end of day with up to 6-8 hours screen on time on some days. Not sure what you are talking about. Not to mention that I almost guarantee my 8a takes consistently better pictures than the Oneplus.

Where is this being sold for $330? The lowest I seen it was $400
Same ?

mines 450 USD with 256gb during black friday sad it only comes in black tho
Pixel 8a is $679 CAD, definitely not as good value here unfortunately
Bro it’s $900 AUD😭 in Australia.
@@DetectiveAidano It's currently 647 AUD today, which is about 418 USD (after tax). So it's a very good value even in Australia.
@@NizarNoor for me it isn’t tho?
@@NizarNoor wait never mind my bad

the fingerprint scanner working 100% in the video is a violation! 😂😂
yo you're back finally

I have the same issue with my pixel 7pro. But my pixel 6a works all the time
whats a "phodo"?
Got mine for 450usd for the 256gb Love it
What about a S23 later review?
In sweden we get pixel 8 for free if we get a carrier deal with unlimited calls and sms and 10gb internet for 13$ a month (24months).
Knowing Google they already have the Pixel 9A ready to go they're just waiting for an official iPhone SE 4 release date and price.
Not ready per say but they should have it prepared by January 15th

What about the Heat Problem?
Great video man
We very annoyingly would get with the 1hr 20 mins of the pixel 8/8pro but 2 hours is just hell
I still dont like the A models its too small and thats just a huge no
I would recommend a used pixel 7 or a used pixel 8 instead i would be cheaper depending on which country you are in

I stopped using fingerprint scanner
I cant wait for the 9a
Yeah this is 500 euro so hardly “budget” for 20 eu more you can get a iphone 13 here so thats a no brainer compared to the pixel.
This is a midrange where I'm from

motorola edge 2024 is 130 from straight talk💀
Got mine for an equivalent of 390USD so I'd say it's a great deal
💯
Pixel phones
I got a pixel 6 lets just say I'm not making that mistake again
The heat is unbearable
40°C just watching youtube on my device
No one will wait 2 hrs for the 8a to charge from 0 to 100%
Ever heard of changing overnight
You're wrong. Millions of people do.
Rather spend $200 on a normal size Motorola that does all the stuff that phone can do. Also Google is one of the most evil companies in existence.
350 isnt budge
Midrange*
You do know there are better Chinese phones.
phone is trash
