    The real reason why Lebron is so good, he create mismatches and keep a spot up shooter, same with Curry he is the best player without the ball in his hands.

    • @danielllll521
      @danielllll521 6 ปีที่แล้ว +30

      Curry is so damn good off ball he makes his teammates shoot significantly better when he's on the floor just because how much attention he demands when he's off ball. It just opens up so much room for already great players.

    Hey coach Nick, we are a European basketball fans and we love cavs, can you plz make a video blatt offense vs lue offense, we believe that Europe have a better basketball system and American's have talented players, don't you agree? I remember wester brook saying that, when they played in Madrid. However how blutt was 30-11 and won the warriors in game 2 without love and Irving and they fired him, also American media killed him, when he is one of the best in Europe but Ty Lou has worse record, they play ugly with better talented than blatt had, to finish coach, tell us, if brad Stevens was coaching this cavs roster, do you think they would be playing like that? Plz plz plz talk about it, hug from Sweden

    Everybody knows Lonzo Ball(LAKERS) is not looking to shoot, the defense can just deny in the passing lanes = bad business. 😄😄😄
    Draft 6'4 Landry Shamet or 6'7 point guard Troy Brown (Oregon) with that CLEVELAND draft pick.

  • @deandrepage1048
    @deandrepage1048 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Lonzo Ball (Lakers) is the worst 😢😢😢.
    The Pick & Roll was invented to FREE-UP the ballhandler for a quick Layup/Dunk.
    It's bad business when the Point Guard is afraid of contact for fear of having to shoot free throws.

    Ive watched this quite a few times the last 5 years
    but there is something, I wish you´d included:
    The classic pick and ROLL is no more!
    when you think about it, there really only two times, or two situations, where it makes sense to "ROLL" - that's on switches or if the onball defender goes under. In those to situations, you can seal the defense on your back and gain an advantage to the rim
    but in all other instances - it just doesn't make sense anymore. I even think we need a new word, because, if I ask someone to "slip" the Pick, they immediately think, that I mean slipping it early, as in a slipscreen - almost like a backdoor. But my point is quite different
    it´s a new way to categorize the goal or aim of even setting the screen. a new definition of what it means to "hit something"
    all we want, really, is for the defense to adjust to the pnr. Onball defender must reposition to send into the screen (ice not incl) and we want the screeners defender to start his hedge, whatever hedge it might be. When this happens - the screener has actually "hit" them. even if there is no bodycontact. just imagine this moment in time - and remove the screener: is the ballhandler at an advantage?
    at the same time, another argument could be - but we want the screener to be able to receive the pass on his roll. This doesn't equal rolling, tho, as you can swivel your head to see the same action.
    positives - it is much much quicker - giving us an ability to roll deep and seal the help under the rim quicker - without losing the ability to attack and split the defense
    I wish you'd make a video about this. screw the roll, its old school, and not necessary!!!

    Shaq: why dont they just pre-rotate and fight over screens like we did in my day?
    Candace: too many good shooters on the floor to leave open, u will get burnt from corner 3's trying to rotate
    Shaq: not everybody is good shooters candace, stop it
    Candace: i thought we were talkin about the nuggets
    Shaq: 🤡

    I feel like running pic n rolls 24/7 is gonna jurt offfenses in the play offs you should always have other options to run during the play offs more post passes, backdoor cuts, passing big men, dribble hand offs etc thats why GS is so lethall they dont run the pic n roll 24/7 they get everybody else involved

      And then Spain-Greece (without Pau Gasol) goes to show, not ANY defense because they switched systems during defensive possessions. I'm still wrapping my head around the mixed defense they used throughout the whole tournament. That would be one hell of a breakdown, Coach.

    • @ag1ge9los95
      @ag1ge9los95 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Carlos Expósito I don't remember well what happened in that game (as a Greek I don't want to), but changing defence in one possecion is a common tactic in Europe... Most times teams do it in big games and crucial moments like finals to surprise the opponent. Usually they start with a 2-3 zone and turn it into man to man when the opponent has started running a play

    •  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      70-47, but that doesn't really reflect how good the Greek team was (IMO the best Greek team in the last 20-30 years). The difference was, the switch wasn't fixed all the time. They'd do it even a couple times during a single possession and drove nuts most of the teams, hence the results. In any case, both teams reached the finals undefeated. Those were the days.

    •  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean they didn't always make the same switch either and looked like it happened depending on the offense.

      I watched game 7 of the nba ecf, Bulls vs pacers....their guard play was so far behind..mark jackson would literally just turn his back to pippen and carefully edge to whatever side to hit a wing entry pass so that they could dump it into the post....so crazy how they thought that was the most efficient way to get buckets in the half court...todays players would have a field day with all the actions they use and how well so many of them can shoot now.
