As long as there's no extension on your arm you are allowed to initiate the contact.

When the ball handlers coming off the screen, using his butt/hips to create the contact more so than the shoulder or arms, like a side booty bump. Also do not extend the arm! That way the refs doesn’t see too much arm or shoulder lunge/extension.
