Patricia I agree with you about this being a strategy from the company. They are creating a bit of a drama which provides them more marketing and attention. Positive or negative all eyes are on them.
Vanessa Blanco but the negative attention does them no good when people are so outraged that they boycott the product or even the whole brand all together. Why would they sabotage their sales like that? It makes no sense. I personally just think that they didn't care about darker skin tones.

But outsiders most likely doesn't care about it, especially when their shades are available, I don't think people boycotted it that much except for smaller Ytubers, I don't think bigger beauty Ytubers is really boycotting them, they got free shit from Tarte all the time, nobody passes up free stuff, especially Beauty influencers

I know they will have my colour in this foundation but I refuse to buy it until they release more appropriate shades, I just don't understand why they wouldn't wait until they had all the shades perfect and more of them before they put them up for sale. ThunderDog I'm not so sure about that! I know alot of people use Estee Lauder as an expamle for having an expansive shade range before fenty's release, but from what I can recall, it took a while for Estee Lauder to expand their shades. Fenty rlly b revolutionary coz they did that all at once

I don't think Tarte was intending for it to be racist. Darker shades are extremely time consuming and expensive to make compared to lighter shades, and unfortunately they chose to rush and wanted to get the product out as quick as possible.

I am HERE for all of this. You TELL EM. I am a medium to tan skin tone with yellow and olive undertones and there is NOTHING in this release for me. However I can walk into Sephora and I know that I have more brands to pick from than WOC who are in the tan-dark-deep range. Regardless of my skin tone I will absolutely not be supporting this foundation because its 2018. WOC DESERVE BETTER. EAT GOURMET, DONT EAT THEIR CRUMBS.
