Specially them being the elite, this training is also serving in case they get captured, I have read that this methods have helped them survive when captured by enemies
The point with most of the training being so extreme is that if you can make it through that you can make it through anything and you don’t lose your cool in the field no matter what happens.

Of course that training doesn't even maximize effectiveness.for example in the us I would take WW2 era training but modernized over what we have today. Modern training beats you down instead of building you up.
Judge all you like and call it "overkill" - these guys are the ones who go into dangerous zones and extract prisoners, hostages, and take out military targets. Even in the UK, when any terrorist activity occurs, SAS is called to respond, who are just as well trained soldiers of the UK. These guys have huge balls that no average human could dream to have. To become part of the GIGN, the french special forces, you have to put on a bullet proof vest, put your arms behind your back and stand perfectly still as your team mate grabs a .357 Magnum revolver and shoots you with a live bullet, and if you flinch at all, you’re gone. And no the bullet can’t penetrate the armour, but would you still be able to look down the barrel of a live gun without flinching?
In the second one, where the pass around the grenade, the reason why they know when to throw the grenade is because from the moment the pin is taken out they have 6-8 seconds until it detonates. @@user-livelife physical tests include a timed 3 mile run, timed crunches, timed pull-ups, timed push ups, and at least a 40 second plank. which that’s just the standard PFT for the marine corp. the marine corps have developed other tests like the CFT in order to become a marine. not to mention you can’t have a criminal record and have to be a natural is citizen (which i am). you can’t have back or neck problems and you have to be a certain height and weight
@@user-livelife well. in order to receive retirement funds you need to serve at least 20 years. the pay is decent but it really depends. on what you plan to do while serving. they will all or at least most of your college level schooling if you’d like to serve in something that requires a degree. i plan on working infantry while receiving my degree and then i plan on being an officer until retirement. there are so many jobs that are included in the marine corp. if you are interested there are websites that explain in more detail and give more information🙂
The military make you do things like this to test your willpower and you see how far you will actually go to protect serve and fight alongside the people you serve with and for the people you’re serving for I know this because I have completed some of the training in the video
These brutal exercise are there to overcome your menthal quitness while under a lot of pressure and pain ... There is noting there to make you the strongest or the best . it's all about overcome your pain and function 100% while under attacks or very, very stressful situation . No normal person can out challenge these type of people in a mental game . Most of the army people they get fucked up after seeing so many dead corpses, camarads and innocents die in front of them and those that they killed durring they carrers .

You do realize every SAS operative has undergone intense physical torture as well in order to condition them. Every special forces training program has that idea embedded in it.
@@khronicganjaofoz5070 it has a point of preparing you for anything in any conditions that gets thrown at you, it helps you to detach yourself from pain and discomfort , if you are on tretturous terrain or get ambushed and split up from your team you need to be able to survive the worst , a lot of those exercises are mental even though they look phisical. War isnt a all inclusive holiday. You need to be prepared for any kind of scenario so nothing is "over the top" . And trust , none of those exercises are harder than real combat.
