Don't solder directly onto lithium cells, either use a sprung cell carrier or use spot welded tabs. The continuous heat applied destroys the battery integrity.
@@aaronletchford Like I said don’t do that at all. It is dangerous and can do serious damage on the inside. Use a battery spot welder and nickel foil strips. Soldering the battery will cause it to heat up at a high enough temp to melt the lithium inside causing internal short, which in return 💥🔥💥🔥

Two, the battery needs some kind of actual protection, not just a cheapo charger. It needs to be protected from overcharge and overdischarge, over current and a couple more. Not to mention the funny sidenote of needing a soldering iron to make one, like c'mon. Just buy one instead, even if its a cheap one. I would recommend getting one with a variable temperature.

There's a technique to solder on these batteries, but the time of contact need be so short, very quick, only if is good on soldering gonna be able to solder fast as needed.

i don't see any temperature controll. if their's no temperature controll in mty opinion it limits what it can be used with well for. their's solder irons with temperature control and an integrated tip(far superior heat transfer) for only about $25 like The PINECIL as one and probably the best example for low budget good quality irons.

Works, I have a modified microwave transformer, so I have low voltage with high currents, I did a 5V 20W fast heat soldering iron (Just in seconds) to don't need wait my 60W heat on 5 mins just to small soldering works, but I've used a spring as heating resistor, a kepton tape as insulation and copper wire as tip. Glow plug required 12v. But you are using 3.7v battery... 😂😂😂
If you apply 12V to a glow plug, the temperature will rise above 1000 degrees and guess what happens at such a temperature.😉
