      @@rternowski we used to go to Simcoe to do the grocery shopping. As I recall the store we went to was sort of downtown but I don’t recall the name. I do remember a ceramics supplier (greenware) being near it, but it’s been so many years that both are probably gone now.
      So many fine memories of Port Dover. My parents had friends in Port Dover, so in summer, my parents used to dump me off there for a couple of weeks at a time 😀 It looks like lots of little businesses have sprouted up there. When I used to stay there, it was like the town was in a time warp of sorts. Still is in a lot of ways. The Erie Beach Hotel was where the “rich people “ stayed. We had a lot of great hot dogs at The Arbor, and it was always a lot of fun to get a new beach toy over at that little shop by Knechtel’s. That side of Walker street has barely changed. My heartfelt appreciation for the little tour.
