With the court ordered parenting classes & supervised visits I think eventually he’ll have a better relationship with his Ex & daughter.

It happens. Just depends on where you are. In larger cities, yeah, people tend to mind their own business not wanting to get involved. But in a lot of the more rural areas, people tend to look out for each other more.

Why the mom is such a wimp is beyond me. Someone grabs me, or even approaches in an aggressive way, especially with a child nearby, I will defend myself. If it means the other person ends up with a broken wrist, oh well. Maybe don't touch someone without their consent.

Thank goodness that there are some good people who are willing to protect Lisa, Sarah, and Emily, from both Mark and Vanessa. In fact, Vanessa is now behind bars for harassment, attempted child abuse, and attempted kidnapping while Mark was court ordered to attend anger management classes for harassment, attempted child abuse, and attempted kidnapping.

Uhh, I obviously would NEVER forgive Mark for making Vanessa trying to kidnap his own daughter, he needs to learn about what his actions caused the poor child

And of course there's something wrong with Mark and Vanessa, Mark is definitely the type of person who really shouldn't be a father and Vanessa should be under the jail.

If I had child and an ex's new partner tried to kidnap them I wouldn't push for supervised visitation I'd go for full custody, termination of all parental rights, and move far away to keep my child safe, the fact that this father allowed his girlfriend to chase his daughter through a market parking lot which could have resulted in her being badly hurt or worse killed angers me deeply they should both be charged with endangering the welfare of a child and both should serve prison time for their actions

What a evil woman. They need to lock Vanessa up and throw away the key. And if her ex had anything to do with it, he needs to lose his parental rights and be locked up too.

Vanessa, it's you and Mark who decided to treat both Sarah and Emily as though they did something wrong but both you and Mark are now in jail for defamation and attempted kidnapping.

Not sure why they thought their behavior was okay. Supervised visitation & parenting classes were a start. No contact for the girlfriend who was not a wife was right.

Many salutations! This is quite entertaining from a literary and cinematic standpoint; still, there are several unsettling elements of this story I am impelled to object. When are we going to have an earnest conversation about how Sarah has not done her caveat emptor due diligence about her ex-husband Mark before she got naked and opened her legs to him? The decision of whether you get naked and open your legs is the most important decision a woman makes in her life; the very fact that this crazy drama even happened is evidence enough that Sarah seriously dropped the ball -- and her daughter Emily almost paid for it with her life.
This ties into my heftiest objection to this whole story . . . the last time I checked. the order "get in the car" is worlds apart from running across the parking lot as if it were a playground like Emily has done. I can easily imagine that there was a lot of horn honking, tire screeching, and even a few cars colliding with each other as Emily was running around like she has no sense. For the sake of being fair, Emily was being chased by Vanessa (a grown woman); still, I was very disappointed that Sarah did not give her daughter a nasty reprimand about the danger of behaving toward a parking lot as if it were a playground since being hit by a car has very nasty medical consequences. Thinking back to the family government I received as a boy, this was crashed upon like a ton of bricks because of the hefty safety dimension. Ditto for availing a motor vehicle's safety restraints. It would be a very sore derriere and a denigrating lecture right on the spot.
The fact that Sarah merely gave a verbal order instead of physically putting Emily into the vehicle lends credence to Mark and Vanessa's claim for custody. This could have gone sideways a lot of ways -- Emily hit by a car, a rear-end collision . . . and all because Sarah unwisely opened her legs to the wrong man. I really hurt for Emily going forward; even with Vanessa behind bars and Mark under some hefty court orders, Emily has no data about how to choose a good man that actually can lead a cohesive nuclear family which means that this circus starts all over again. This really hurts, folks . . . I myself was unjustly denied the data necessary for the healthy employment, credit, and motorist history presumed and expected of all adults in the United States; because of that prologue, I went through a heap of unnecessary and avoidable turbulence in a city (San Antonio @ TX) that has been crystal clear about my labor being cost-prohibitive along with three landlords having decreed homelessness of me and a couple of Cici's Pizza restaurants having rejected my commerce. San Antonio has become the very prison I was brought to as a toddler (Spring @ TX).
