Hey guys I have something interesting to share with you. If you are not in a hurry to go anywhere, on the 22nd of July there will be a Sarawak Independence Day celebration located at Kuching waterfront and the surrounding area. Various interesting events will be held. come and enjoy it together.
Hey, we were there at the same time! I recognise it from the footage (you can find us in your footage, we are the ones with two blond kids 😂) Do agree with you on the amount of people and the buggys. I do believe it is peak season now because of the holidays and they also limit the visitations to only 2 times 2 hourslots per day. Anyway, your idea of limiting the amount of people would be a great addition. Have an amazing time here in Kuching! We are planning to stay here for a month so you've got a new subscriber 😊
8:14 Quite right, Naomi. A friend took her daughter there in 2012 and mentioned a bunch of tourists being loud and noisy. Some tourists tried to push as closely as they could not realising the ape could harm them. They are after all still pretty wild… We went last year and we got a nice bunch of tourists among us. It varies actually. 10:09 Those are pickled chillies. 17:47 Here’s a suggestion… you both could fly to Limbang (or onwards to Lawas) from Miri via the small plane. 😁 (That is if you guys aren’t interested to explore Brunei). And I do mean small. 😆 From Limbang/Lawas, take a boat to Labuan. Then take a boat from Labuan to KK, Sabah. Or go to Kuala Penyu and then take the rickety train to KK.
Miri is also an interesting place to venture. From there you take a flight by a Twin Otter Plan to the Mulu National Park where you have many Caves to explore. You'll need to buy your return ticket back to Miri. Come back to Miri for a day or two for some local chinese food, then take another short flight to Sabah where you can go Island hopping or do some snorkeling at some of the nearby Islands. Go and climb Mount Kinabalu.... it's so cool and beautiful up there. I dare say that one of the most beautiful places to visit in Malaysia is Sabah. Take care and God Bless. 🙏
I am both happy and sad at the same time u had such an “experience” at the Semenggoh Nature Park. I think the authorities shld try to limit to only abt 50-60 visitors per feeding session to avoid untowards incidents. Happy though that u get to see 2 orangutans as they are pretty rare sightings. Pls don’t be deterred frm visiting us again. We welcome you both wth open arms anytime here to enjoy enchanting beautiful Sarawak and Borneo again.
@@TwoMadExplorers The only two countries that are near Sarawak are Brunei and Kalimantan, Indonesia. Singapore and Thailand also border with Malaysia. 😄
We also had a similar situation where we were unable to get around East Malaysia in an efficient manner. We were told this wasn’t always like this but one of the failures caused by Covid. 😥
amazing kolomee texture, its made with alkaline added to the dough, unique regional style from Mui Hakka way back in China ( and its a small region) , that is why it has that unique aldente texture and when the lard hit the alkaline...ahhh....nostalgic aroma. You'll never find this same taste and textured noodle else where... looking forward to your Borneo journey..
Actually 3 vloggers last year drove to miri by renting a car. But they shared the cost for 1 week. You cannot share the cost with anyone. They are: 1. Ken abroad (german) 2. Jetlag warriors (canadians) 3. Dodo explorers (romanians)
Sometimes I do agree that the websites are rather unreliable here but please do come back guys! You haven't seen all of us yet and all the glorious food!
That male Orang Utan was huge and timid. I assume it was more in shock than the visitors there. By the way, finally, you guys now know the correct way to eat Kolo mee!😅😅
Amazing Semenggok is almost like Disneyland now, with hundreds of visitors n buggy cars?! The last time i was there was back in 2008, was about 30 people and no lazy buggy cars. Should hv kept it as natural,no road,no buggy, just jungle tracks.
You said that's your last day in Malaysia from Kuching, and some Malaysians don't get along well with that country. I guess you meant Singapore because that's the only country with a flight from Kuching airport. But you mentioned the country is vast, so it could also be Indonesia. Anyway, if you're in Singapore and you miss kolok mee, you'll be glad to know that 30-40% of people you see on the street in Singapore are Malaysians. You can easily find a kolok mee stall in the food court, operated by Sarawakian people. One such stall is located at Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre, next to Bedok station, but it's quite near to Changi airport. I'm very sure there are Sarawakian kolok mee stalls closer to the city, but you might need to ask the locals to find them.
As far as I know there are no incident whatsoever of orangutans injuring humans. Especially those that are in/from rehabilitation centers, they are so used to peoples that there were problems releasing them back to bigger Parks.
Dear Sir/Mdm, You shall stay until 22/7 this year we celebrate the 60th anniversary of Independent from the British. Kuching is the center of the celebration.
I totally agree with you about the orangutans there were too many people there and to be honest it would be great to see them But no I won’t go when I’m in Kuching just leave them alone I’m sad you couldn’t do what you wanted to do on the boats to travel covid has a lot to answer for for so many peoples lives n work I was thinking you woul be going to Singapore but I guess I’ll be wrong on that one I hope you do go back to Sarawak And Kuching I really ❤ Kuching and I’ll be going to the different places you went to I look forward to see where your next travels are Stay safe n happy travels U2 ❤❤❤❤
You both were tremendously awesome guests.. kind and very understanding. Hope you enjoy your next destination. Will be keeping my fingers crossed that you both will be back "Home" here at Malaysia 🇲🇾 .. have a safe and pleasant trip ahead... and please do remember us ❤😅
A good chance experience to witness a male and female orangutan 🦧 Yes ; an unfortunate lack of delineation barrier and unavailable multiple above ground climbing access to cross the unnatural road terrain cutting off access from one side to the other …a lack of a qualified habitat & behavior specialist to assist in the design of the encroaching human made road into their natural habitat. Could be designed better to be less stressful for the animal. On a lighter note , congratulation for finally discovering the authentic kolo Mee in Sarawak - how can you only have one (1) bowl ;I would typically have 3 with a fantastic natural juice drink. Good luck 🍀 on your future travels & stay safe always 🙏 watch out for the mozzies in the jungle 🙏
You have missed Gem 💎 of a place in Sabah (Sipadan Island 🏝️ & Mt Kinabalu tracking etc) , Terengganu & Kelantan have incredible beaches and islands too to visit - Pulau Kapas , Pulau Layang Pulau Redang etc are gems 💎choose wisely to suit your preference as there are many more islands to choose from with various beauty characters ; there is a reason why Michelle Yeoh & Jean Todd invested in an island 🏝️ there ! Good luck in your next visit .
Guys, if you ever eat mee kolok again, don't pour the soup and condiment into the noodle. You have degraded the original taste. It should be consumed separately. There is another version of mee soup which you can order. Eat mee kolok as it is, use condiment for dipping the meat and enjoy the soup separately. This is how we enjoy our mee kolok but it is up to you anyway.
I think that orang utan had become too familiar with human. Otherwise it would've have avoided coming so close to them. Don't know if it was dangerous or not to human or vice versa.
Please come to Bukit Lawang, North Sumatra, Indonesia friends, there aren't too many tourists when visiting the area where orangutans live, anyway it's cool there.
Please....Please...its Kuching Sarawak MALAYSIA...NOT BORNEO. Sabah & Sarawak are part of Malaysia..we are one country. Its not BORNEO..its Malaysia..or East Malaysia to be exact..tqtqtqtq
We had an incredible time in Semenggoh 🙏

Thank you for this wonderful video and for showing your explorations in Semenggoh. Wow, what an amazing experience.
Sorry to hear that you guys have to leave Malaysia. Yes, you guys can explore the east coast of peninsular Malaysia and then Sabah.
Good to hear that you guys will be back in the near future. Have fun exploring your new adventures, I think, it's in the Philippines.

This happened too to ferry services between penang and langkawi island
It is summer holiday in europe and north america, of course many people will come
Show this vid to the park administrator about the issue of overcrowding. Maybe it's time to limit the number of tourist per visit per day.

Absolutely delicious 🤤
Hi....if you are still in Kuching, you should go to Susung Waterfall at Sting Village, the waterfall also known as Jurassic world.

@@TwoMadExplorers....I live right here. Had tried too many specimens of kolo mee over decades here. Was 100% disappointed. Sorry. 😅😢
kolo mee is delicious, the secret to good kolo mee is pork oil + crunchy pork lard. It's easy to make actually, do bring to germany .

Yes, Orang Utan is a wild animal & they are unpredictable.. might attack human if they feel intimidated.

Happy sarawak day
Next, my guess will be Pontianak, Indonesia...
What is to vlog there?
dont forget Sarawak Laksa bro... Food of the Gods!!!
The park should limit visitors for each day.
They only charge rm 10. They also need the revenue.
Bukit lawang sumatra is worst, the rangers and tourists all walk into the forest to look for wild orangutan. Some tourists hug them. Crazy.
sir copy the book how to cook kolo mee....meybe u can open besnus in the Garmen sir🫰😁
I think you may be going to China next 😀 If im right it deserves a postcard yes 😁😁

Orang utan is not a monkey.. u keep saying monkey.. Monkey is monkey.. Orang utan is orang utan..
Yes orang utan is an ape, a great ape same as us humans.
Apes
I love ireland
Ok
I feel if the rangers did not throw the coconut, it will not come down
Yes that’s possible
ALL Be back😎✌️ i be back

Ape - no tail - eg orangutan, gorilla, chimp. Quite intelligent. Monkeys have long tails. Not so intelligent.
i think the first thing the rangers need to do is to educate the visitors that the orangutans are not monkeys lol
Orangutans don’t get offended by words, unlike many humans. Maybe they are smarter than we all think 💭
@@TwoMadExplorers i'm just saying people need education? it's like common misconception so this needs to be corrected dont you think?
