I have the V8 R AWD and on motorways I get over 30-35 MPG and once got 40 MPG on an 80 mile motorway section. Impressively economical on long trips with lots of motorway sections 👍
@@uptone12111 Only ever had to pay for services, MOTs and tyres. Serviced at main dealer for between £500-£700. Other than this I had to replace 1 mass air flow sensor that cost £250. I've done some big trips and lots of drive outs with the group, my ODO is at 45,000 miles and it's been super reliable.
On my SECOND F-TYPE. Leased a 16' White Coupe base cylinder 340hp. Nearing lease end I ordered and built my first ever. A bucket-list Convertable and this time, an R-Dynamic P380. 6 years later, she's got 54k, I drive her every day and I'll NEVER SELL. The daily joy is almost identical to the first day...👊🏼💚👊🏼
Nice video. Love hearing more about a car i own to get any extras i don't know. I have a 2019 p575 open top svr (updated 2020 infotainment system version) with the carbon fibre pack. 1 owner previous to me, owned it since 2020. Not going to lie, i put it in a carcoon outdoor bubble from october to april so its fair weather only and i keep the miles down (12k) its been on two le men road trips with me from the midlands, and im so proud i purchased it in the black country, right next to the spiritual home of jaguar, coventry. Its my 'pass me down' car to my kids. Always had jags from xj sport to a 2015 xfr. I actually part ex my pirsche spyder for it as that was track ready, and to be honest i wanted a GT for european trips, which its done with ease. If your wanting a track car, go porsche. But this, this ftype is everything i ever wanted from a car and utterly lucky to own one. I dont really know how i got to a stage in life that allowed me to get my dream car, but it happened. It wint happen again, im very aware of what i managed to get, and every time i look at it, drive it, and listen to that v8 soundtrack, i have never regretted getting it. There is quicker cars, but this, this is a total love story. Its the drive, the sound, and the fun. And 200mph is way enough for me.
congratulations for the video. I'm a fan of the Jaguar brand, also having an XKR. I purchased the 2014 F Type Coupe S a few months ago. Jaguar took a step forward 10 years at the time. The F Type is not comparable to any model from the Coventry company.
I can't believe that a Supercharged 3 or 5 litre engined car will save 5% fuel just by turning the engine off at the lights. I wouldn't know, I turn mine off as soon as I get in mine 😁
Two different cars entirely. The XKR is a classy but powerful 2+2 tourer. Very nice looking car. The F-Type is equally as pretty, but in a more sporting and aggressive way. I tend to prefer the F-Type because I like my cars a bit more aggressive looking, and I think the F-Type's voluptuous curves and stance are very sexy. The XKR does have a classy presence, though, which I also appreciate.

How have your maintenance costs been?

Lol 40mpg, maybe downhill with a tail wind :)

Just locked up 2017 Type S and it’s absolutely visceral!
Great video, I got a manual F-type V6 2018 model year and it's a brilliant car for A and B roads. So entertaining and the sound is sublime!
Thank you so much
Great review. I love my F Type R Convertible, with 329 days of sun and 4 seasons, it's a blast.
Great to hear
Thanks for the video. I'm really to have found this channel! Always in depth reviews, that leaves nothing to be desired. Very well done! 😊
So glad you are finding our reviews helpful

Awesome in-depth video mate
Much appreciated
Excellent review with great information 🤘
Glad it was helpful
Same, valves open, the A button off, Dynamic on. Then start.

Spoiler deploys at 74 mph and retracts at 56 mph
Manual says 70 and 50. I usually find mine rises at 71mph. Not sure when it goes down as it just happens as I'm slowing down and I don't notice.
Mine deploys at
114 km/h and retracts at 82 km/h
Up at 72, down at 52 on mine.
Can someone buy me one please 😂
Us too
Lovely, but I do think that the XKR was by far the prettier and classier design.
Wrong
@@jasonh8212 no, correct. My black xkr looks far nicer than my friends F, especially when parked next to it.
Still wrong

The xxr nice car but shows it's age just like the xk8 did before it
