Cj Acepcion I dont know if you a hater are what lmao I didnt say he paid him are not but the fact that he always helps him at HIS OWN HOME is awsome its hard to find friends these day anyway so im just saying
Crazy how far you have gone Dustin, I remember watch these videos when it dropped and even when you freshly bought the wrx while you were still going to school, I’m glad I had the chance to see you grow your channel man! Keep doing your thing Dustin!
This car keeps getting better and better. looks good, sounds good, love the direction you're going with it Not sure if you remember but I said I've been wanting to trade my Si for a wrx for a while and it looks like I'll be making that happen. It won't be brand new, I've got a friend selling a 2015 wrx for a really good price and I couldn't turn it down. It's been about a year but it's finally happening. You've definitely helped inspire me to get one. keep up the great work, glad to see the channel growing so fast!
Homie I love how your car sounds, it's just music to my ears bro props to your friend Tim for always helping you out on those builds..... Keep up the good videos homie.
They don't really help. They are only rated to withstand 5-15mph impacts, which is pretty typical. Most cars don't really crash at highway speeds they slow down and crash at very low speed. The car is designed to crumple and deflect the impact away from the driver. If the crash beam did much more than it already does it would be like you hitting a brick wall and would kill you rather than protect you. The biggest issue here isn't safety but the fact that your insurance would deny your claim in a front end collision because you tampered with the safety equipment. It might not make sense why they would do that if it does virtually nothing in the first place, but their goal isn't to pay out claims it's to weasel their way out of as many payouts as possible. As you can see in this video the car isn't traveling super fast but still seems scatter parts all over the place. th-cam.com/video/KHO_Iq6zZE8/w-d-xo.html Impacts happen from distracted drivers who are doing something like texting and driving then suddenly hit the brakes to avoid an accident. That is why most crash tests are done from 35 and under. Most people driving on the interstates going 60-70mph attempt to stop and crash into cars in front of them that are stopped at 5-25mph. Modern cars stop very well compared to older cars so the odds of higher speed crashes are lower. What concerns me the most is that the piece of metal they removed mildly helps keep the frame straight during very heavy cornering. It is also designed to break away to create a weak point to allow that corner of the car to crumple. Does it really need to be there? I'm not sure. Sorry to reply to such a old reply by the way. It's just important for people to know why it is there.
Not true. I was in a 45 mile an hour crash and the crash beam saved my engine.. I still totalled the car but only a chunk of the bumper cover was removed, no dammage to the front hood or engine. Withiut a crash beam the whole engine will get collapsed theres nothing to absorb the crash without it. Bought my car without one. And it would suck getting in a 5 mph fender bender cause then you damage your ecpensive ass fmic you just put on.
First, Congratulations! I can't wait to hear you get on it and let that monster scream! Second, the edit you did was just filthy. The car looks so mean and cinematic is just beautiful. It's awesome, man
I think the best way to go may be the stand-up type intercoolers in the factory position, but more upright. What I'm thinking of is doing some sort of heat shielding under the intercooler as well. A larger intercooler with more core density, better bar-plate design, etc, that should help. I live in Vegas and I bought my WRX just a couple months ago (so, early fall), and I'm concerned come our 110+ degree days that there's going to be issues. Just driving stock, I can already sense huge power drops after sitting idling in traffic. Clearly the stock IC is soaking.
Dustin, you have the sickest WRX on youtube. I really want to see it in person one day and film it. From the exhaust, to fender flares, big wang, front mount, tune (Retune soon) and plenty more. just really dope!
Get a bash bar made to hve those frame rails tied together u dont want the uni body to get metal fatigue between those rails . Keep it up bro killin it
Hey Dustin love the vids ! Just wondering how you routed the bov to vent to atmosphere I have exactly the same setup and can’t find any instructions how to route it haha
Yo bro I'm new to your channel just want to say your car is so beautiful and sounds amazing keep it up I love what your doing I'm becoming a big fan video by video you put out there keep it going
Hey Dustin, is there anyway you could list the songs in the description? I really like the songs you use in your videos haha. If it's too much of a hassle then it's all cool.
Sick af, but removing crash beams? Not a good idea. That's why I got the PW verticooler. And unless you run standalone engine management where no MAF sensor is used you should always use a recirculating bov. A protune can help but ultimately vta doesn't run right with a MAF sensor. Sounds sick though.
Sean Fricke I second that. When I get my Sti I will not do a frontmount. Removing the crash beam and the other piece be did RIP car if he gets hit in front. Instead of the crash beam doing its job to absorb the crash it's going to demolish the front end and mess the frame up.
Question.. when you say it was wanting to die do you mean when you gas it and let it rev back down it wanted to stall??? Cause that’s was my car does. And most of the time it’s stalls even when I Stop at lights.
I know this a shot in the dark but was the bov just installed on the flange and that’s it or was there a hose running from the bov ? I currently tryna order my bov but nowhere has the kit just the bov itself and I just wanna be sure that I’ll be good just ordering the bov itself
Could you add that blowoff valve without changing the stock top mount intercooler? And if you did would you get the same sound as this setup? Also, could you add a larger intercooler while still having it be a top mount?
Why wouldn't you attempt to at least modify your crash beam to get it to fit? theres hardly any structural support in your front end now after throwing that out and the side brace
I have a 2016 WRX FBO's very similar setup got the ETS FMIC with the 3.5 core and was wondering if you had any lag, etc killer b header as well but stock turbo and wastegates not going external any reviews on lag and temps? Thanks man love the car
Anybody still here? I love you Dustin 😂your old videos make me so happy
1 like for Dustin's friend who always helps him with his WRX that's one cool dude

Amazing how far you came with your content.
Dude, your editing and cinematography is insane! Love it dude, keep it up!

For beginners, easy trick for getting the silicone couplers on, get unscented hairspray and use that. It acts like a lubricant and a seal afterwards.
i need a Tim in my life, great job guys i enjoyed following the installs
everyone needs a tim in their life haha
Whats the core size bro :)
love the sound of the car now with the BOV, also amazing edit at the end. It was dope!

thanks man!!
His WRX is slowly but surely turning into a fucking beast never seen before. A new species lol
haha thanks so much!!
Wow. Crash beam removed entirely? Hope you're never in an accident dude :S

In other words, the ETS FMIC is one expensive crash beam
Or drunk driver lol
@@dsmbilly3690 damn thanks for that info, very useful

That BOV! Bumper didn't end up needing trimmed?
Mickey Andrade no it fit perfectly. We were both glad that happened. Almost like it was made for the bumper.
not at all!

Or get a speed density set up.
Does a recirculating bov still make the same noise?

Really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you! Wondering how you are able to run the blow off valve with no issues? Heard engine can run rich etc...
Awesome video and the car sounds great. Be careful though... don't hit anything. Those beams are there to protect you. :)

Thanks so much Ryan! So close!
Dustin Williams It would be so cool if you could track down your Si and shoot it alongside the WRX
Could you add that blowoff valve without changing the stock top mount intercooler? And if you did would you get the same sound as this setup? Also, could you add a larger intercooler while still having it be a top mount?
Just commented yes on that post.. now
