Good Video. Set my first traplines today in Northern Illinois. It's been so warm there active. Had a fox den a few years ago and they left 3 dead moles in my driveway. Nothing eats them. All the foxes got hit by cars. I also throw the moles in the river maybe the turtles will eat them. I wish the trap had a visible trip indicator. I bought these to use when they go deeper in the dry summer heat. I also flood the holes pumping river water. That will bring the moles up for the worms and the my other traps seem to work better. I read they can dig over a 100 feet a day. Just 1 mole can do a lot of damage in a week. I caught 16 skunks since December. Mother Nature lighten up.

I have used these traps and have yet to catch one. They plug the tunnel and dig around the trap. This happens on other types of traps also. In Minnesota.

Highway (automotive) safety flares with a light touch of leaf blower in the fresh mounds, or AMDRO gopher gassers flares.. it's lots of fun watching all the sulfur smoke popping up all over the landscape.. to add to the excitement, you can smoke 'em out and play whack-a-mole with a .22 from your easy chair 👍😎✊

Yessiree folks, THANK YOU!! Have you tried other traps and if so, is trapline your most successful so far? Here in Michigan, I GOT MOLES!! Do you use the larger 2 1/4 trap or stick with the smaller 2"? I liked and subscribed cause you two, and your puppy are AWESOME! Thanks again!

Hey Puc Puc. I’ve tried several different brands. All have drawbacks. The trapline traps are awesome. If your tunnels are about an inch in diameter use the standard size. If you have 2” tunnels get the larger size. The trapline products traps can be set in all kinds of situations. Moles in Seattle area like to tunnel under and next to any type of boarder (wood concrete). So far this season I’ve caught 18 moles in my yard and near by yards.

To increase your chances put a handful of worms in-between the traps.

I’m still learning but others say use gloves to stop human scent and don’t set traps on a mole hole, confused.

we haven't had any issues with not wearing gloves. We do find if we leave the traps we think has gotten them in ground for a bit it seems to keep others from coming.

I trap european Moles, Talpa europea and can definately tell you they can not smell you. Also what is happening in this garden is the Mole is cleaning out an existing tunnel system. I use other sort of traps but look for the smallest Molehills as this is the most used tunnel, if you set to close to fresh large Molehills there is a danger that the Mole wish push dirt into the trap and set it off without catching. Also not sure if your Moles are the same but here after a catch I set the trap back in the same place and catch another one right after and sometimes one after another, I have had 9 from the same trap. It is coming up to breeding season and the Moles are travelling around and picking up on each other scent, if your Moles are the similar in behaviour to ours the females heat cycle is very short that's why they need to keep on the scent and there are 1 male to 4 females. I probably have the most knowledge about Moles in the whole of europe at this time but live in Poland, and the Poles love Moles. Seriously they think they are an asset to the enviroment and protected by law. Half my village hate me because I kill all the Moles. A few years it ago it was a right mess here and all around in the fields. All over Poland is a mess and increasing at a rate of 10% per year.
Also just put the trap anywhere 100% that the Mole will find it,
