I like how the female vocals and the growls are joined together and the guitars carry the whole weight but this something quite different than the usual!!

Even though I have raised Monotony Fields on a personal altar because of its sheer brilliance,the singles released so far are showing potential of the new album to be even better and surpass MF. So stoked for the release,SoD know how to convey emotion like no other band does.

One of my Allstars, since "Angel of Distress" here. SOD are one of the funeral Doom masterminds, like Skepticism for example, or Funeral. Both latter bands do exist quite much longer, which i also adore. Can't await the new Album ! "Monotony Fields" was awesome, like every Album before.
Man when they start to hit those notes on 4:50 and everything comes together with the vocals.. It's just magic. Dark, melancholic pleasent feeling, magic.
I experienced two things which mostly underrated by humanity in my own lifetime period. One of them is Dulce De Leche filled doughnuts, other one is certainly Shape of Despair' s music. I deeply love every fucking song this band created 🖤

I’m fan of SOD from forgotten past. So wonderful that band come back to new recordings. I honestly can say that SOD best atmospheric and funeral doom metal ever. Love this song and waited for it since I heart it in live version ❤️ peace and respect from Ukraine 🇺🇦
Always considered them as a band that sometimes wraps pop music themes around (funeral) doom, but are they doing it right? Hell they are. Catchy, not too heavy, but melancholic and cathartic enough to play them on repeat. Will gladly dive into new album. Same goes for older Swallow The Sun. Still, nothing beats madness that Esoteric produces. Kudos for this track, recognizable SoD piece.
Не знаю, как по мне Monotony fields лучший альбом был у них на данный момент. Ненавязчивая печальная атмосфера, глубокий гроул нового вокалиста, значительно улучшился звук. В первых альбомах немного бесила компьютерная обработка вокала, как будто в унитаз кого-то засасывает.
Выдать что-то, превосходящее Monotony Fields по атмосфере, красоте и гармонии, у них уже (к превеликому сожалению) вряд ли получится... Новые вещи хороши, но не шедевральны...
