I just took the gamble and bought a king size one. The basic purple. I am bery satisfied. Much better than i expected and i am not easily impressed. Everyones different of course some will say its this or that but i like it man i dream like a mf with this bed lol my sleep is just different and my body feels so much better. Id recommend it. I don’t blame you. Honestly I feel there’s better approaches to communicating this. I mean we even see the founder Terry mention column buckling. But hell even that concept isn’t mentioned until engineering students take a solids class in the later part of their freshman year or sophomore year. I think if they kept mentioning some of the actual concepts however they would suffer from people thinking they’re just needlessly using big words. It’s sort of a lose-lose. But it’s not the worst way since they do throw in the actual concepts they use.

I'm fixing to order a purple seat cushion and have my upholstery guy cut it up for me and make it fit into my Harley seat by removing the current foam. Wish you guys made motorcycle seats lol.
I'm glad purple listens to feedback and innovates. I'm also surprised they haven't made comforters and purple car seat covers. I am please to see purple liked a comment about insoles as someone that owns a two pillows, a bed, sheets, covers, a cushion and bought a cushion for someone as a gift. I love the products though the bed has some points I dislike I have to hand it to support when my purchase got lost in the mail they not only sent me out replacements for those that were lost in transit, but also made an effort to make sure I was happy.
My only issue has been the sagging in the mattress as there was memory foam used in their first series mattress (unfortunately).
they now have duvet which is like a comforter!

I had pain in my heels and started pulling my foot back to stretch the muscle on the front of the leg that helped a lot.
Try Sketchers with Goga insoles. Sketchers also have memory foam insoles but I found the Goga more comfortable.

The purple mattress is my next big purchase and I cannot wait to get one (and neither can my neck, shoulders, hips, and knees, to name a few body parts :)). I have tried everything else to no avail. Product tip: consider making mattress toppers. College students, for example, often sleep on very uncomfortable beds in dorms, but they can’t necessarily switch out their mattress. If that polymer is what makes purple unique. You could try a 1-1.5” polymer with a .5-1” foam top. I bet there is a huge market for it. Hope my comments makes you $$$ 😅

it has not only a smell, but theres reports of a micro plastic powder on it, that can cause inflammation in your lunges and throat as well as eyes, the company went as far to put a lawsuit against a man who came out about it on his mattress review channel
That man was exposed as having worked for one of the competitors. However, that is not to dismiss the problem mentioned.
The way purple handled all of it is very shady. They did a TV interview and said you could eat the plastic thing, which happened to have no powder on it. They said it's food safe. A plastic spoon might be food safe, but if you grind it up and inhale it, that doesn't mean your lungs can get rid of it. Food safe only applies to being swallowed into your stomach. You can poop it out.
I think the competitors who ran that smear campaign found out about Purple's dirty little secret, this powder, and targeted that, then Purple ran an anti-smear campaign to discredit what was said. Unfortunately for them, the way they handled every bit of it was shady as hell and untrustworthy. It's the reason I won't buy one.

That wont do much... i got the purple 4 and two pillows. The pillows arrived first.. they suck with regular beds. They are low profile, and dont work well on a normal bed. I ended up putting them end to end and sleeping on them like a bed until my bed came. I was kind of put off by them.. buuut then the bed got here.. and the pillows + the bed = AMAZING. your shoulders sink to far into the bed that the low profile works out great. It becomes perfect height. And the bed and pillow giveway at the same time, and its heaven.
The smell is awful for a few weeks. The pillows are worse than the bed. Def have to wash the powder out. It was causing me eye irritation. Not bad. But my eyes felt sticky in the morning. however you get a free sample swatch of material with the pillows, and you see why they need the powder.. the raw un coated material is super sticky to itself. Without the powder coating, it wouldnt bounce back for a minute after you pressed on it. Wish there wasnt so much extra powder, but its whatever. It can be washed off. Overall the system is amazing. I cant lay down on anything else. And my slipped disc pain is gone. I dont wake up during the night any more. And if you fall asleep wierd, nothing goes numb. Its got all the perks of other beds and none of the negatives.. the best is it never gets hot. I can sleep under a comforter and wake up in a 90 degree room not sweating. But it doesnt feel cold when its cold either.. i love it soooooo much.

Note to Product Developers; Make a Purple car/truck/bus bumper. Back in the mid 70's I worked for the largest transit coach (the ones where you put $2.75 in the cash box and ride around the city) manufacture in the country. Transit coaches weigh in at around 32,000 lbs and even a SLIGHT impact with another object (or, God forbid, another transit coach on the parking lot) could result in a major repair cost. Some enterprising outfit came up with a plastic hollow chambered front bumper that was filled with water. Any serious compression of the bumper, as could be expected in a frontal crash, resulted in the walls collapsing (as in your mattress concept) and the water being forced out of the fill holes in the top of the bumper, the internal walls adding considerable stiffness to the bumper. It also had a notification effect on the driver as he got a free windshield washing with every accident.

As an owner of multiple purple products, I can attest to their value. My former mattresses were Tempurpedic. I would barely get 4 hours of sleep. I would get woken up by the pain in my knees and my back hurt so bad I got migraines 5 days a week. I have not once gotten woken up from the pain in my knees on my purple.4 mattress. I also live by my purple butt cushion. I don't sit on it, I use it to kneel on. It's the only way I can get work done around the house close to the floor. I have converted both of my sisters and my brother in law. My sister had back surgery and was in terrible pain. She laid on my bed once and immediately had to get one. She's doing much better now. My brother in law uses the purple cushion while driving his big rig. After years of working in flooring installation, his back was toast. This cushion allows him to drive comfortably. Purple has given us back what pain had taken away. I'll always appreciate that.

However, HOW they arrive at the material structure that allows for the collapsing wall is were the secret really lies. In other words, it ain't the hammer that drives the nail, it is the technique that one uses to swing the hammer. In layman's terms, "It's all in the wrist".
