I'd love to see an update video, how alocasia is doing in the new pot 🙂
Really diggin this video. I love regal shield and learned a lot. I really love how U got the tunes playing in the background. Peace N Love
Yes girl I can’t wait to see more videos! I subscribed 🖤 you should try charcoal bed at the bottom before the soil. & happy frog brand is the best. Their soil has magnesium, phos, & other nutrients
Thank you!!
Hi Plantaphoria,
We recently also added an alocasia regal shield to our home. It's growing like a jungle weed! Please do a video update on yours as we will have to repot ours as well.
Happy growing.
Great and helpful video! I am wondering what is the noise in the background? It is very distracting. Not sure if it is background music gone wrong or just a background noise? Thanks! 🪴
And another magnificent video ◑﹏◐
Thank you!!
Great Video! Can you do a video on how to create new plants from clippings?
Absolutely! I’ll get working on that!
How do tgey like their soil? More like fern or should I let the soil dry a little before watering?
how do you know when to repot? I bought one in a 4" pot. One new leaf came out a week later and now one looks like it is dying. Should I always wait until spring to repot? I'm in Denver, CO--thank you!
Only repot if roots are sticking out the bottom, or if you see yellowing, or multiple dying stems fast. But Oooh if you are in Denver I say wait until spring. (In 1 Month or so or mid March) you can stress it potting to early while it’s cold. You should always repot in a new pot 2” bigger. & make sure its well aerated and you can also fertalize it right after you pot it in april for the first time and watch it grow all summer.
Btw: everytime a new one does it means somethings wrong (yellow or fast dying), or simply it’s putting energy into a new leaf or dormant season (which we are in now until next month) it’s normal
What if you repot and then the leaves fall over and stems are limp and one is dying? What can I do to save it?
Can this regal be grown outdoors full sun ?
Absolutely. Just be careful if you live in a area with frost and cool weather during the fall-spring seasons
