I'd argue that Mariah on this night (this performance + If It's Over on SNL) is the best Mariah we've ever seen. She's never sounded better IMO. I know most think Daydream is her vocal prime, but I've always found her tone then a bit too light, and I much prefer the darker/fuller tone prior to Daydream. This and If It's Over are simply perfection.

Actually she did sing both mid belts and upper belts up to F5 but they were so chesty, supported and free so they didn't feel that high! SIMPLY THE BEST UPPER BELTER!!
