You can now get a brand new kindle fire tablet for 60€. When tablets were still pretty new I bought a "cheap", low performing one for about 3 times as much.

It's crazy for me to think about how far technology has already come from the time the first computer was created, and there is still so much potential for more improvement. My favorite part of this technology was the sharing information between doctors in a hospital, I think it shows great potential for furthering research on different medicines and procedures, making sure patients get the best care they can possibly receive. #EDCMOOC

Because this displays their vision for the future, you'd have to take inyo account how much might change in the future. Considering the speed of technological advancement, battery lives may be much longer.
In the far future, batteries will be a non-issue, or not needed. In the closer future, I think they'll just charge super fast, even if the duration is not that much more than they are today. So instead of 30+ minutes, it'll be more like 30 seconds to 2 minutes for a full charge.
You have to admit, this is pretty freaking cool, and not just to kids and teenagers, I'm almost 29 and this stuff amazes me. I would have loved a school like that when I was a kid. That color lesson looked like fun. Interactive learning is the best way to teach kids.

10 years ago it was unrealistic to think about carrying around in your pocket a device that could make calls, send messages, browse the internet, take photos, record HD video, provide maps, use GPS, and listen to music. These videos aren't unrealistic, they're visionary. Talking of just making this stuff already, what do you think people have been doing; baby steps have become giant leaps.
The only problem with something like this is that people would become so reliant on it that if something bad happened, they would not have a clue what to do without their technology. It is already bad enough in today's world
Why they would have to have clue what to do without technology? Our medicine is technology. Our work, our education is technology. Our market and economy are technology. Our colonization of the universe will be technology. So why we even should bother about hypothetical situation, when you have no technology?

Don't worry, I never experienced a power outage in my lifetime. I live in Las Vegas. The reason is that the power lines will probably be underground in most locations in those days. That means power outages will happen less often. If you lose your device, you can find it thanks to the device itself. It will likely be able to track itself (if it's not dead) if you lose it. And it is less likely to break because the Corning Gorilla Glass in the video is stronger than today's glass.

Have you not watched the unpacked version of this? It explains most of this is doable now. There are things like clear window displays that came out a couple of years ago. Large wall displays are probably going to be AMOLED, or something similar.

Not necessarily the floating holograms, but it looks like a future where we poured an astronomical amount of money into our education and health care system, using technology to truly enhance both. I would love if my kids went to a school that had technology like this to really give truly enhance their education. I would also love the idea of medical technology being so advanced that I as a patient could receive care from experts all over the world who could analyze my condition in real time. All this technology is possible now but not on a large scale and not at an affordable price... but within 10 years it will become widely available to the public

All this technology is possible now but not on a large scale and not at an affordable price... but within 10 years it will become widely available to the public

@@unphase. I think I agree with you in case of a few things, but many of the things shown here can become reality in the future. Some don't have practical sense, like putting a long glass display in the middle of a national park, or selecting footwear in a cupboard.
