Lee, love the video as I am just getting into coding for my X5. Would it be possible to share the excel sheet that you are using in the video as I have been looking for a list of most common mods.

Could you share this other method you are talking about? " we had to use another method to make it stick."

Excellent videos Lee. This + your other posting (th-cam.com/video/ztclXMf2yPU/w-d-xo.html) are by far the best to enable a novice get comfortable with coding. With the instructions documented here from Joe at codemyride, I was able to successfully add a trailer module to my 2011 X5M Vehicle Order and activate it (needed to enable brake lights operation), also implemented the DVD in motion capability, and a few other things.
The only other high value change I'd like to be able to do (but have not been successful) is to disable the ventilation fan from always coming on at ignition / start.....regardless of setting at last shut down. Have trolled all the BMW forums but seems no-one's been able to do this. Wondered if you had attempted this with Joe.
