I've heard people refer to Lucina as boring. Not sure where they're coming from, watching you play her is entertaining as helllllll
She's boring at all levels of play besides high and top level. Most Lucinas play in the most boring way possible. It also doesn't help that she doesn't have good sound effects when she lands a hit.
Lucina is legit just marth in cross country club without tipper.

Fun fact: fully charged shieldbreaker kills earlier than fully charged F Smash. Also, it does more damage if you aim it up but kills at the same %.

What is the difference with marth and lucina? Same with samus and dark samus other than other looks
Marth has a sweetspot at the tip of his blade which gives him way more kill power, but the rest of his blade is weak (but that gives him better combos). Lucina has no tipper, but also no sour hitbox. She is easier in that regard but nowadays it doesn't really make her that much better than Marth, but she is seen as the better one because she is easier.

@@Sillintor Opinions are biased, but that's not what tier lists are based on lol. Tier lists are objective studies of characters tools and matchups, assuming both characters are being played optimally. What about regional metas sillin? I'm sure you've noticed Japanese players tend to have different characters they like and different tournament results, it's just not objective enough.
@Sillintor a tier list is to show how powerful characters are compared to each other given no other external factors. Results are full of external factors, such as how players were playing at tournaments, their brackets, how they practice, etc.
Not that you can't make a tier list based purely off results, but that will be fairly fluid as the meta shifts and player opinions change over time.
@@mrmediocre848 If we go by that logic, then a character like Sheik should be in the top5 of every tier list. She has an insane neutral, good advantage, good disadvantage, ridicolous frame data, good kill confirms, the list goes on and on.
The only problem with Sheik is, that you need good execution, stamina and you always gotta be on point (which are btw external factors like you said, so they shouldn't matter for a tier list in your opinion)
@@Sillintor true, but quantifying the stamina and execution barrier for characters is a whole can of worms by itself. It's in the same vein of any character can do well with perfect play, which is not helpful.
Results are more referenda to the players of tournaments than the strength of the characters played therein. No doubt the character's strengths can shine through and influence tournament play, but tournaments aren't a clinical testing ground for characters to be ranked. They're a gauntlet of duels where a lot of things can happen.
Perhaps the results are the only relevant data you need regarding tournament play, but not all Smash Bros is played in tournaments. Then again, we'd have to ask why we need tier lists outside of competitive play since not everyone plays competitively, and the answer is because it's fun to rank things and imagine how all these characters might stack up against each other at any given moment.
