ヤマネと森の開発
森を切り開いて開発すると、ヤマネたちの住む場所が減ってしまいます。また、道路ができることで森が分断されると、ヤマネたちが餌を探したり、仲間に出会ったり、巣を作る場所を見つけるのが難しくなり、大きな問題になります。そこで、私たちはヤマネたちが安心して移動できるように、樹上の歩道橋を開発・普及しています。
私たちの目標
ヤマネ・いきもの研究所の目標は、天然記念物であるニホンヤマネの生態を研究するだけでなく、ヤマネが住む森の健全性を保つために、他の動植物の調査や動物専用の通路（アニマルパスウェイ）などの対策を提案することも含まれています。
みなさんへのお願い
ヤマネを守ることは、いろいろな生き物や自然環境を守ることにつながると信じています。ヤマネについて知ってもらい、私たちの活動に協力していただけると嬉しいです。ヤマネが暮らせる森は、多くの生き物が共に生きる森であり、人にも優しい環境です。
Dormice and Forest Development
When forests are cleared for development, the habitats of dormice decrease. Additionally, the construction of roads divides the forest, making it difficult for dormice to find food, meet mates, and locate nesting sites, posing significant problems. To address this, we are developing and promoting treetop footbridges to allow dormice to move safely.
Our Goal
The goal of the Dormouse and Wildlife Research Institute is not only to study the ecology of the Japanese dormouse, a natural monument, but also to propose measures such as the investigation of other flora and fauna and the creation of animal pathways to maintain the health of the forests where dormice live.
A Request to You
We believe that protecting dormice is linked to protecting various other creatures and the natural environment. We hope that learning about dormice and supporting our activities will make a difference. The forests where dormice live are shared habitats for many species and provide a friendly environment for people as well.
