Absolutely love this cartoon used to come home after school and sit cross legged eating a bowl of cereal before I did my homework Such a Classic, wish I can get the set
Hercules has become one of my favorite superheroes. What an awesome theme song. As an adult I'm now reliving and healing my childhood - this time with superheroes included!! 😉💪🔥❤️💞
As an adult, I like it but I feel it could have been ALOT better. Just imagine the stories and the characters development if only it had been serialised with chapters.
I know its supposed to be a mask with awesome powers but the sound effect here 0:22 really makes it sound like this guy is just an idiot putting an ordinary bucket on his head. Dont misunderstand, im only teasing and the cartoon is great. Its just an unfortunate choice of foley that had me chuckling.
This isn't the only time you see the Mask's face, but it's the only time he looks like that. In other episodes, he's explicitly called Murtis, who was originally introduced as an unmasked villain a few episodes before (in "Murtis Steals The Silver Arrows"). Probably because of that, the Mask is the only villain with multiple outfits: the brownish robe he has here, the same purplish robe as Daedelus and Willamina, and a unique costume consisting of a short brown tunic with a long purple cape (as seen in "Return of the Mask" and "The Nemean Lion"). In the latter outfit, he even has his own counterpart to Herc's ring sequence, where he puts the mask on and the screen flashes as he charges up.
So the guy made a mask and just because Hercules couldn’t beat him Hercules got all butt hurt and had to resort to having Newton ant Toot bail him out from being a loser.
The dumbest example of that was an episode - I forget the title, but it's on TH-cam somewhere - where the Mask makes a bunch of masks and tricks a bunch of villagers into putting them on, making them invulnerable to the danger that was approaching the village, but unable to remove them without a special key that only the Mask has, which he then tried to extort them for. *But he didn't lock his own mask*, so Hercules beat him easily.
The Iron Mask was much scarier in the black & white version I reviewed several days ago. Now; you would think Hercules would be smart in future episode and just trip up Murtis like Tewt did in the finish instead of punching him with the mask on; but nooooo. Me Hercules, I bring the pain. Zeus built me strong, forget to give me brain.
Hsha. Spock is a Vulcan. This is the Mask of Vulcan from Greece. Whoever wears it gain invincibility . The only weakness is once it has been taken off, you’re vulnerable.

This was my cartoon back in the day
"At last! I have reforged the garbage can next to my desk into the Mask of Vulcan!!"
Live long and prosper, man .
I watched this back in the latter 1960s as a little kid...
Softness in his eyes, Iron in his thighs, Virtue in his heart, Fire in every part of the Mighty Hercules!
Just come up behind him Hercules & pull the mask off !!!!!!!!😊😊😮😮😂

Loved this show back in the day as a kid
This show was my childhood. My childhood!
I saw what you did there! What you did there! 😜
Newtons Syndrome is curable curable.
I've never forgotten this guy
Who knew one metal bucket with eye holes in it was so powerful? 😂

Thank you. I knew that he had a name but couldn’t remember it as Murtis.

That’s about it. 😂
I used to think The Mask of Vulcan and Daedalus were one and the same character.
Understandable, but no, they would both in a later episode be seen together. The Mask has a name but wasn’t said until that episode.
I feel sorry for the people looking up at Herc as he arrives.
You say that like they wouldn’t want to see the iron in his thighs.
Apparently the Mask hadn't heard of the idea of a chinstrap.

@@zazelby and Lets Not Forget the Time Mask Created More Masks on General Diomedes Henchmen into Order to Take the Thrown.
OLYMPIAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I used to watch these in a hotel room in the morning.
Hercules has two good friends to help him.
This and He-man were my joints lol
Fag
Anyone else used to walk around with a bucket over your head pretending it was the Mask of Vulcan?
All Hercules needs is some side burns a deeper voice and he's Elvis 😊

Hey I beat Zeus on Fortnite.
🎉❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊
Shouldn’t it be the mask of Hephaestus?
Newton is super annoying. Super annoying.
1:22 - Superman
Hey it's buckethead
Could Superman beat Murtis the Mask?
The mask of Spock?
