FINALLY. THANK YOU. I've been looking for Bruce Hornsby and the Range - The Way It Is for YEARS and could never find it because all I knew were the intro notes, no lyrics.
Very nicely done! Thanks for helping me find John Lennon's "Imagine" as well, I was looking through piano covers of 70's - 80's songs to try and find that melody stuck in my head!
@@paulfaganpianist i found your video trying to remmeber a pop song intro but is not in your list. i can only compare that the melody is sam as this > hoofdini th-cam.com/video/5H2ihFEOm5k/w-d-xo.html and melody also like clayderman in this minute> th-cam.com/video/nvw66WFltRw/w-d-xo.html but is used as intro in a pop song i can't remember and comes to me sometimes and cant frozen it in my mind to find it. is like it comes and goes and i am going crazy lol. please help !!! You have so many of my favorite songs; I wasn't expecting to find "Beautiful", "Desperado", "December 1963" "Bad Day".... these are from my childhood. Thank you so much for making these memories come flooding back. I can't tell you how happy this makes me. From one pianist to another, play on, my dude! ❤
Dear Sir Paul Fagan! This awsome compilation is a masterpiece of demonstration how versatile the piano as an instrument is in all genre! Absolute brilliant
Holy crap thank you! The Forrest Gump theme has been stuck in my head in a nostalgic, but creepy way last night and I didn't know where the song is from and it was super creepy and I couldn't sleep, so I searched for this and now that I know the context I feel a lot better xD, kinda stupid but still thanks :D.
Awesome! Great work man! Impressive how you could play so good for so long time and how you could remember everything. I am also a pianist so I know how hard it is.
Thanks very much. Yes there was a bit of prep involved. It's tense by the end when recording as you cannot make a mistake or it's start over so it's hard to keep relaxed.
Clocks by Coldplay!!! That's what that song is. Never knew the song title or artist! Still can't find the other (similar) one I'm looking for, but that's one down, so thank you!
awesome vid. i appreciate the picks you went with. now, somehow the format of [artist] on top of [song title] got flipped after The Way It Is and back again after I Want You Back and back again after December 1963 and then immediately back after Hold The Line but it stuck to it after that. other than that one thing, love it !
Thanks for your comment. From my point of view, it's not that hard to get there... Some grades, some theory and a lot of enjoying it helps. Best of luck with your progress 👍

Thank you so much. You helped me to find the song that I have been searching for mounths. The name of the song is A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton. Great job by the way 👌
Meatloaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love", Evanescence's "Bring me to Life", Evanescence's "My Immortal", Christina Aguilera's "Hurt", One Republic's "Apologize", Maroon 5's "This Love", Halloween (movie) theme, Linkin Park's "What I've Done", Heart's "Alone", Van Halen's"Jump", Cheer's (TV show) intro, Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets".
Only recognized 18 (and can play myself at least one: 'Listen to your heart') As I stay as far as possible from hip hop I can forgive myself not knowing some Eminem or DR.Dre ju... I mean, stuff but you had also picked quite seldom heard movie tunes!? Ok, 'American beauty' and 'Forrest Gump' definitely are famous movies but themes from those movies not really. Of the famous intros that I have myself played a lot back in the day i found 'Alone' by Heart very amusing to play. It's almost just black keys but wouldn't call it complicated - just fun!
Love the mixture of the songs ! Very well done!❤️ I love watching you play and most of all I love to listen to it. You think you could play “Sailing “ by Christopher Cross ? I don’t know if this song is piano material. If not I truly understand. Thank you anyways :))
this is lovely , but i hope that the one im looking for is also here if you don't mind do you know the one that is similar to VACIO intro? that was im looking for hope you see this thank you ,
Really impressive,I enjoyed it very much though Imagine is simpler than you made it sound and Hold the line was slightly fast ,but as I wrote really impressive.
Nicely done and really good songs that get stuck in your head! Oh, and though I know noone knows this band, you should totally try 'A Giant Leap Of Faith' by Subsignal (th-cam.com/video/sLCoK4UlRqU/w-d-xo.html) That piano intro is amazing.
I was afriad this would only be pop intros, but you put in a whole lot of classic rock as well! Great job man!!
Thank you Tori. Glad you enjoyed

same for me but hall of fame. the feeling of finding THAT SONG. Amazing lol
Abba - The winner takes it all. One of the best piano intros of all time for a pop song. You don't have to be an Abba fan to appreciate the song.
ABBAs intro to "GImme, gimme, gimme" gave Madonna a no1 hit single in 41 countries.
