- Just wanted to share this footage in case it ever gets lost in time again. It's from the rare 2004 Kingdom Hearts Premiere Party in Japan. Includes footage of the incredibly rare/extinct official Sora costume that appeared very briefly at Walt Disney World the same year. The original audio was just the PLANITb Remix.

I’ve been trying to finish up my old KH Final Mix playthrough from a while back, and I can assure you, he is really good at curing you. Goofy is, too. In fact, they’re SO good at healing you that they will BOTH heal you immediately when you are low on HP, which gives you back way more health than you really needed, so it wastes Donald’s MP, which he can never seem to hold onto since he will immediately use it on every shadow he sees, and burns more of your valuable Items, which you foolishly entrusted to your best friend Goofy to only use in emergencies since MP is a RENEWABLE RESOURCE and I don’t need you to heal me with a Potion when Donald ALREADY HAS ME COVERED YOU but Thank. GOD YOU THREW THAT POTION AT ME WHEN DONALD CURED ME, YOU’RE SUCH A LOVING AND CARING *FRIEND!*
So yeah, Donald is actually pretty good about healing you.
@@CEFG100 I’m on 2.5 final mix right now, and I have taken away their potion privileges other than elixirs entirely for this reason. I get all the potions, Donald gets some elixirs, Goofy gets to fuck shit up.

Got into KH recently and I've heard these jokes so much, but thought it couldn't possibly be _that_ bad.
Partway through KH1 and _j e s u s c h r i s t_ Donald will _never_ heal me - I actually get healed more often _without_ him
@HotshotFin oooh, not sure - not too far into the game yet, but I'd have to go with Jungle King, as a reminder of events I can only conceive as Tarzan being a better healer than Donald.

In the menu go to customize and set everything mp related for your party members to occasionally or the least frequent options and anything support related to only in emergency. Donald and goofy will be 200% more useful or at the very least goofy will

Being a previous character performer, I'm having PTSD to just how easily you can get out of breath in mascot heads and the panic that your mind goes through if you don't control your breathing.
I worked down at the Magic Kingdom in 2005, and remember seeing just how drenched the performe- I mean, "friends of" characters were after the daytime parade.

I think the reason Sora isn't used outside of the games more, is because he is shared between Disney and Square Enix and neither can do anything with him without an agreement being made.
@@trankia1224 that's not 100% accurate. From a legal standpoint, Disney owns all the original IP in Kingdom Hearts, with Disney asking Nomura for the thumbs up to use him largely as a courtesy and expression of good faith and respect.
If it's in Kingdom Hearts and doesn't come from Final Fantasy, it's legally owned by Disney

@@melancholymeadow6 king Mickey has only made appearances at d23 and the KH3 Media event, he has never made a park appearance to my knowledge. It’s sad because I went to the Kingdom Hearts Dandelion meeting which was held right across the street from Disney Land at the house of blues and instead of bringing out the KH characters they brought out the Toy Soldiers from Toy Story to promote the opening of Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

@@zantetsuken-zero Actually I believe there is 2-3. Sora has been seen a few other times at the Disney parks in its early release for the series. Sora has been seen at Disneyland and I believe Magic Kingdom as well. So there is most likely multiple costumes, but being as its Disney, usually kept under wraps if they bring out the character again, like they have done for other characters/have had Donald and Goofy's KH costumes re-shown on a few occasions.

Not even the biggest Kingdom Hearts fan but it's one of those things when gaming really meant something other than profit. One of those "You just had to be there" experiences. I almost envy the people who loved KH and got to see that live.

Yeah its one of those experiences that's hard to describe, lol. I was a major KH fan back in the day and the hype around KH3 was unlike any I've seen for any game before. But I guess that's what happens when a lot of people's favorite childhood game series finally gets its long awaited sequel.

I'm sure Disney has considered putting a Kingdom Hearts themed land in one of their parks but the risk of creating some kind of infinite loop of Disney properties was too risky and the lawyers said no.
How about original worlds like Land of Departure, Castle Oblivion, Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden, Destiny Islands, Daybreak Town, Scala Ad Caelum, Twilight Town, The World that Never Was, or Traverse Town? All those could be great choices for a Kingdom Hearts themed land.

The most we got here were occasional use of the costumes at the parks to promote the game. Once they had a launch event for kh3 at that free Disney boardwalk, where you could get a selfie in “the chair” and play kh3 early. They had a costumed cast member walking around as kh2 sora (didn’t bother making the costume again I assume lol)
