The dock looks clean! I've been messing with putting the wisp lights down first, then a block afterward so that the stick of the lights is clipped into the block and hidden. Works well with stone and black marble. Same with torches. I keep forgetting about those quests, so I need to go back and knock those out. You made that first one look easy peasy!
when I build over water I like to put a skirt of wood flooring all around the work area as low as I can snap it so that when I inevitably reposition something I don't lose the material to the depths. It also helps to prevent me being trapped and drowning just outside my house, lol.

Of course, that’d be in Episode 11! I recommend watching the entire series for the best experience as there were a few other bases before this!
Next time you water build surf a wagon cart if you move methodically you can move around the water on it and you can get better angles
