Wow. Beautiful. I've painted with watercolor for almost twenty years, with a long gap, but never got this good. Your technique is described so well, thank you.
Oh Ellen your tulips are gorgeous!!!. I don’t think I have seen anyone else do this type of bloom before, they are so special!!. I live close to Napa and go there once a month, last week was particularly special, all the vineyards have so so much real estate planted in tulips of every color, beautiful…just like yours.❤
You are a wonderful teacher. The step-by-step explanation in your excellent tutorials , especially this one, is veru, very helpful for novices like me who don't get to paint and practise regularly.
Absolutely awesome! These tulips are soooo gorgeous. Ellen, your talent makes this look so easy but I know it’s not. You give me something to aspire too. Practice, practice, practice. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
You will never know the joy and inspiration your video tutorials have given me. You made me realize how much I really love watercolor!! Much love and light to you Ellen for the priceless gift of creative inspiration you give to people by encouraging them to paint with methods that deliver success!
Tulips! Oh my, we're looking at 12 to 15 inches of snow this weekend. It's been snowing for two days. How I'm longing for Spring and Tulips! Maybe I'll try to paint some. Thanks for the beauty you bring to our lives! ox ox
I have been playing around with tulips lately and I'll have to say I like yours the best of the turorials I have watched! I like the more realistic look of your tulips!
Hi Ellen I'm an artist that uses various mediums, and this tutorial is fabulous! Thank you, for explaining every step to achieve this technique for tulips.
In general, I like to paint 4x6 so I can mail them as notecards. Is it generally easier or harder to scale something down? Is it better/ easier to practice larger first?
Ellen this tutorial will not play for anyone on Patreon. There have been people to leave messages but I’m pretty sure you don’t look at those so I thought I’d try here. Thanks
Hey Ellen. I always end up coming back to you for lessons in real time and no sleepy-time music. A little frustrated at the moment because of speedy lessons and elevator music. What is the sense of TH-cam art teachers using music that puts us to sleep. Would any teacher in any classroom ever put on sleepy, lullaby music? It makes no sense to me. Please help! I’m wanting to look at some of these lessons and they’re either sped up or they are putting me to sleep. Do they actually listen to that music in their own time? I think it’s probably a trend that got caught onto, but it is a really bad one. It is turning a lot of people away from watching otherwise good lessons.I say, put on some decent energy music or just leave it off. We have our own music. And speeding up your lessons makes me leave. Most serious students won’t support fast lessons or subscribe to anyone with mind-numbing, sleepy time music. Sorry for the rant. Love your work.
