Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 1309 "Hands On The Throttle" Operating the Beast of the East 2/6/23

For Nearly my whole life I always dreamed of being able to run a steam locomotive to really feel what it's like to run these machines. and on February 6th 2023, I finally achieved my goal, I managed to buy one of the few available "Throttle Time" Tickets from the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad and Operated The Massive 1309 H-6 2-6-6-2 Mallet Steam Locomotive. Being able to grab that throttle for the first time and feel the true power of this machine was the greatest feeling ever. and being able to Let a Southern Railway 3 Chime ring out for everyone to hear was also an amazing feeling. the ticket did cost a hefty price. but I think it was worth every single penny. The engineer and fireman were actually visiting from the DRG&W railroad that day I was operating, They were great and very polite men.
