The moving shit show continues! Obviously I knew it would take SOME time for our stuff to arrive but it literally hasn't even left California yet...which means weeks could go by before we can officially move into our new house. We've tried a few furniture stores locally and online and literally 90% of furniture in this country is either sold out or on back order...not a fun time to furnish a big house.
Sucks seeing a nice savings account go from OMG we are doing so great to LET"S buy a House to I am so broke and the problems still coming our way!! At least it isn't issues with the house itself.. being impatient is expected but think of the rewards when it all comes together.. Christina's driving she brought from Calie!!! First day at my house slept on the floor mid winter I was soo excited it out weighed the pain. The constant smiling actually hurt but it was a good kind of hurt. PA looks great.

My family built their house, mostly by themselves. When they moved in in 1975, they had very little furniture. It was a little rough for a while, but it worked out.

First of all, your mom is very cute! Secondly, I use to eat at Chili's in Goleta Shopping Center many times. ALL great food. Thirdly, patience, patience and more patience. You don't have to clutter your home all at once. WE have all gone through what your going through. NO move across the Country has been done smoothly. Shit happens! Welcome back to PA! I also have the 1GB down/up from Verizon Fios too for 6 years now. Pricing is great. Never had issue with my internet cutting or slow speeds. It's great. Almost decided to picked up a 2019 Aprilia Tuono v4 Factory from Blackmans cycle center yesterday. Reminded me of your Tuono build. Aprilia was doing a 0% interest for 60 months on their leftover 2020 and 2019 models due to covid. Was so tempting.
I have the same couch you chose and I found the middle seat is always down with the table tray rather than a middle seat. The problem is if I want to lean to that side it is plastic rather than a cushion. So it is not very comfortable. Other than that they are very cool sets you will love watching movies and leaning back. But I had manual foot rests on my old couch and going to the electric you find it is very slow and liek you said I am worried about it breaking.
I feel your pain. When I moved from Phoenix to New England last year, we nothing for two weeks, and the furniture we had to purchase took 8 weeks to show up!! Good luck to you both and congrats on the house, it look awesome!!!!
I liked to see how your moving in stages progress. You answered my question regarding the comments you have received regarding purchasing vehicles, motorcycles but are you both being able to save and budget. So it was great to see you both have a financial advisor who is overseeing that portion of your finances. Most everyone relies on using credit but at the end of the day, we all still have to pay the balance off. I honestly don’t know a bunch about your profession but do know you both have “ patrons “ paying for TH-cam channel. Do you both have back up professions if this type of work was to end? I hope you do it for many years but life does change so you want to be prepared. Anyways, just asking. Best of luck!..ie- furniture is very nice!

Slow down and take a breath you two. Imagine having to move your entire family to the Philippines, Brazil, and Europe! Get acclimated first, at least 2-3 months, then have friends over. 😎

His handwriting was a lot nicer before too. He's missed quite a bit of school with the UK lockdowns, so that hasn't helped. Hopefully it will improve, he's only 8. Luckily with mum's help he hasn't fallen behind in any other area's of his schooling.

We know the 'furniture pain', in the UK if one orders new furniture, like a sofa as an example, 12 weeks minimum waiting, however camping chairs and blowup double bed, same day in a caravan and camping shop, we had to rough it before we could Royal it. i'm so pumped for you guys...this house opens so numerous new doors-perspectives for awesome content...and christina has now endless possibilities for her own endeavors...now,i hope you haven't aimed too high with this house. this is a gigantic house which means a lot of maintenance,and the costs associated to it.just the multiple roofs of this palace...i can't imagine the cost to redo the roofing on this castle...otherwise,i'm so happy for you two guys, you now must shift in higher gears in matter of creativity,but i'm confident you'll up your pace in the upcoming months. LOL...was looking at your living room....you could literally pump up a wheelie and reach the third gear with still some space left to brake before the kitchen wall LOLOL now to be honest guys,you could just get a sofa,your bed,a TV...and live in it till your stuff arrives. there's no shame to feel about it you know......i mean,you'll appreciate the house even more when your stuff will show up,and on top of that,living in it still empty would let you see how you really want to set it up; would let you see the empty spaces from another stand point- perspective. just my 2 cents for what it worth anyways lol.

1Gb Verizon Fios Internet is great..I have it as well.. Also cox cable sucks ass one of the worst next to comcrap..;) Good that you are going to be getting an upgrade. You will also need repeaters for wireless in that house to cover most of the locations or if you have cat6 built into the walls that would be good as well. You should look into building out a central location for a computer switch closet to run everything to.. :)
Brotha Jaret, get an oversized air mattress to put in your new room, some shower towels and things, soap and toothpaste and some clothes for each week and call it a day until everything else catches up to your new reality ....as far as internet speeds are concerned, the East Coast, is actually the 'New Internet Speed Silicon Valley'. I know that Virginia has more internet hubs than any other state in the nation and even perhaps the world. Over 60% of ALL internet traffic runs through the hubs of Virginia. On a personal level, I have 2 GB download speeds(I pay the price for it though) and over 1.5GB upload speed(which I never use hardly anymore) and I get it all through fiber optics through xFinity High Speed Internet :)...life is good my man ...
You need a prosumer level full mesh system like Ubiquiti Networks Unifi network system. It is a full mesh software defined network system that uses multiple access points with full roaming between the APs throughout the house. Just FYI unless a device is wired you will never see full 1 Gbps speeds on any of your wireless devices. Even the new 802.1ax Wifi 6 standard you will only see 600-700 Mbps and that won't be sustained just burst. Don't pay Geek squad to do a mesh system they will mess it up and oversell you on things you don't need. Just my .02 from a 20+ year network engineer.
You should've bought TVs from Costco, they give you one year extended warranty on top of manufacturer warranty. And their return policy is best in the world.
I have Verizon. Should of got their big Router and they have a wifi extender looks like a second router you can put at another spot in the house. Having their will help with the fast speeds!

We just bought a nice leather couch with recliners as well as a nice matching recliner from there. Easy peasy!

Check Raymour and Flannigan or Bob’s discount furniture they have local warehouses. To your area I live in Wilmington De and stuff is still available down here and if you buy in Delaware you don’t have to pay sales tax.
Welcome to real life of a homeowners. These are not problems. Pandemic or no pandemic, furniture stores don’t carry inventory anymore because of the numerous fabric and design options. It’s common to wait for months to get furniture, specially if they come from Italy as lot of do. Good luck.

Check if you have a canales furniture store nearby. They have cheap furniture and it’s alright on the material! Hope this helps!

Slow down and take a breath you two. Imagine having to move your entire family to the Philippines, Brazil, and Europe! Your furniture will arrive, you will find what you need, and the vehicles will come. Enjoy the moving experience and being with family and friends. Get acclimated first, at least 2-3 months, then have friends over. 😎

@@R0cket_Rabbit It's not actually something that is required as part of our national curriculum. I'll be honest and say I can not read my son's writing since he has been using it. His handwriting was a lot nicer before too.
He's missed quite a bit of school with the UK lockdowns, so that hasn't helped. Hopefully it will improve, he's only 8. Luckily with mum's help he hasn't fallen behind in any other area's of his schooling.

We know the 'furniture pain', in the UK if one orders new furniture, like a sofa as an example, 12 weeks minimum waiting, however camping chairs and blowup double bed, same day in a caravan and camping shop, we had to rough it before we could Royal it. 1Gb Verizon Fios Internet is great..I have it as well.. Also cox cable sucks ass one of the worst next to comcrap..;) Good that you are going to be getting an upgrade. You will also need repeaters for wireless in that house to cover most of the locations or if you have cat6 built into the walls that would be good as well. You should look into building out a central location for a computer switch closet to run everything to.. :)
You should've went to Lancaster for furniture and Sam's Club or Costco for tvs. You could've left with stuff! Moving is a giant pain in the butt.

Brotha Jaret, get an oversized air mattress to put in your new room, some shower towels and things, soap and toothpaste and some clothes for each week and call it a day until everything else catches up to your new reality ....as far as internet speeds are concerned, the East Coast, is actually the 'New Internet Speed Silicon Valley'. I know that Virginia has more internet hubs than any other state in the nation and even perhaps the world. Over 60% of ALL internet traffic runs through the hubs of Virginia. On a personal level, I have 2 GB download speeds(I pay the price for it though) and over 1.5GB upload speed(which I never use hardly anymore) and I get it all through fiber optics through xFinity High Speed Internet :)...life is good my man ...

You need a prosumer level full mesh system like Ubiquiti Networks Unifi network system. It is a full mesh software defined network system that uses multiple access points with full roaming between the APs throughout the house. Just FYI unless a device is wired you will never see full 1 Gbps speeds on any of your wireless devices. Even the new 802.1ax Wifi 6 standard you will only see 600-700 Mbps and that won't be sustained just burst. Don't pay Geek squad to do a mesh system they will mess it up and oversell you on things you don't need. Just my .02 from a 20+ year network engineer.
You should've bought TVs from Costco, they give you one year extended warranty on top of manufacturer warranty. And their return policy is best in the world.

Welcome to real life of a homeowners. These are not problems. Pandemic or no pandemic, furniture stores don’t carry inventory anymore because of the numerous fabric and design options. It’s common to wait for months to get furniture, specially if they come from Italy as lot of do. Good luck.
