If you need High continuous shutter frame rate and 180fps super slow motion video then definitely go with R8. If you want better autofocus, better battery life (comparatively), low light performance then go with A6700. Can't say one is better than other, both camera beats another in some category, it depends which features user needs more.

If you're Canon user then buy R8 instead of R7 otherwise wait for A6700.
