Did anyone try Ayurveda and physiotherapy in AVN ? Also I heard shock wave therapy also working to push the Hip replacement surgery for long time. I am currently on Ayurveda and Physio. Its been just 3 months now. stage 2 detected.
I am also a patient of AVN in both hips 2 years on I have no surgery Doctors consulted - Dr Kaushal Malhan ( Fortis), Dr Sanjay Agarwal Treatment - First we need to understand its incurable presently Now for management 1) Alendronates ( New Bonna Jelly) 2) Gemcal plus 3) Uprise D 3 4) zolendronic acid injection intravenous. Course of treatment 3 years Actually it's called Bisphosphonate therapy .... Now I don't know how long it works And medical management or surgery depends on how much bone loss has occurred if you ask Dr Sanjay he does not believe in surgery ...as he opts for total hip replacement But one should try above medication , then go for core decompression if nothing is working Then Lastly THR .. Unfortunately it's a sad reality we have to face no doctor has a cure but I still want to thank both the above doctors as they have helped me all the way through for 2 years 2 months For six months I mostly sat Next six months I was still in tremendous pain Next six months bearable pain Next six month now I can walk easily with occasional pain When in pain I use 1) Naprosyn -250mg or 500 mg Exercises 1) Hip abduction stretches 2) Rotation of femoral head Thanks May God bless us All
