I’m a doctor. Developed bilateral hip AVN post covid. The pain was severe. I had a significant limp. I started on 4mg Zoledronic acid - single dose, followed by Alendronate 35 mg twice weekly. My pain is 95 % gone now. Bisphosphonates work. But beware about the pros and cons.
I had it... Both of my hips were replaced. Now I can't indulge in the physical activities that I used to indulge in (I was into endurance and adventure sports). I don't know why my doctors administered steroid despite my blood oxygen level being 96-97 even at the peak of COVID. But alas - I am living in a country with shitty legal infrastructure with no concept of medical malpractices litigation. So I have to live with this for the rest of my life. Word of caution to everyone - stop considering doctors as gods. They are not and they know much less than what you think they know. If you doubt me, consider the rate of C-sections being performed today for minting money. Have all your doubts cleared and ask doctors specifically about the risks of treatments. It's our life and we (or our family and relatives) should at least be made aware about the benefits and risks of medical procedures involved.

I have Avn level 2 and 3 in both leggs. Started after i got Covid. My oxygen level was at 78
