Hi I agree with most of what you say, I am an awkward size, 5ft 6in, 12 and a half stone, I bought an otter atlantic drysuit on ebay for £450, all singing, all dancing, pee valve, rock boots, thermals only used 4 times, looked brand new. I paid £230 to otter to have silicon seals and kubi dry gloves fitted. The suit had been made to measure for a guy living in Glasgow (I live in London) , same height as me but a stone lighter, I bought it on condition if it did'nt fit I could return it and pay the return postage myself. IT FITS LIKE A GLOVE. If you have patients and plenty of time on your hands, plus a bit of luck you will find what you want, I have bought all my sons dive equipment including a Whites drysuit and a lot of my own off ebay .
Perfect! Great to hear you got sorted. I’m a big fan of second hand gear. Like I said in the video, I prefer buying of the scuba groups on Facebook, but I’m not adverse to buying off eBay, it’s just with some items, I wouldn’t unless I could go and see the item myself before paying. I’m glad you struck lucky with your suit. You’ll never go wrong with an Otter 👍 Dive safe and I hope to see you out there at some point! Andy W
Central Cylinders Testing website domain seems to have gone and I can't find them on any social media either. Also shown as dissolved company in 2018. Would you happen to know if they are still around or suggest another place. Many thanks 👍 Many thanks.
Interesting video, especially regarding the regs. The internals of a really old ATX40 is the exact same as a new one? I've just bought Apeks atx 1st, 2nd and Octo off ebay, and it's got the real old looking shell but you're saying the guts are identical to a new one?
@@UKDiver Yeah, seems logical! Got to admire the marketing guys for knowing how to make gear freaks sweat. Paint some go faster stripes on and charge 60 quid more.
Good advice in that mate 👌

Many thanks.
Hey Tristan. What services are you looking for specifically? Repaint?

Same service kit so I’m told by my technician friends. Same kit, must be pretty much same internals right?
