The Platinum in-ground base is suitable for most free arm parasols up to 3x3m / 3,5 m ronud.
Suitable for among others:
-Platinum parasols: Solarflex T1, Solarflex T2, Deltawing T2, Falcon T1, Falcon T2
- Free arm parasols with a hole distance of 113/95/76 mm.
- For alternative hole distance, please use the seperately available adaptor plate.

That will hold. I use a far less stronger spike that is for a washing line pole and it also holds our garden umbrella. Nothing to stop you adding concrete.
